Take a look at your diet. You said it was bad. Eat healthy foods, and make sure and drink a lot of water each day as hydration is important. Try to get 8 hours sleep. Start with the basics - eating healthy, drinking water, enough sleep, exercising each day. Talk with friends, do a hobby, etc. These things will all help your anxiety, and your overall health.
It's hard, I know. But whatever we can do to help ourselves, is a good place to start.
It is a journey, not a midterm exam. Be lovingly compassionate with yourself, broken parts and all. Be patient with the process.
It does not matter if you go slowly. Just do not stop. ~Confucius
Write in a journal private every day. Do it for one minute.
Once you get the habit of one minute going, it will help you distract your thought pattern. Keep a list of things you can do in one minute.
Best wishes as you find your better balance.
#1. All anxiety sufferers should find The Anxiety Guy, Dennis Simsek and listen to his podcasts. He also has youtube videos and is very active on all social media. He suffered for yrs with anxiety and eventually developed agoraphobia so he has experienced what we experience. I am reading one of his books now. I am a huge fan.
#2. I love Nick Ortner and The Tapping Solution. I have the app. Parts of it are subscription but there's enough free stuff to use w/o doing that. Again, very active on social media.
#3. If you can get outside in the sunshine that helps too. If you have a small deck or porch spend some time outside. I find that if I'm inside too much, the walls start closing in.
#4. The word game in the Google Play Store called CrossCraze. If you like Scrabble type games, you'll love this. The pro version is less than $5. Worth every cent.
#5. Humor. It's easy to sink into the dark spaces of your own head. I find comedy that I like and watch that when it's TV time. I don't watch action shows, drama or anything dark. If it doesn't delight me, then I don't wanna see it and this includes the news on TV and online.
Hope this helps!
