Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

One of my favourite activities is under the distract category, and the app asks you to think of an animal for every letter of the alphabet. They're really simple and sometimes fun. It really helped me and it's definitely worth a shot. I keep it on the home page of my phone so I can always see it if I need it.
Hopefully, it can help you as much as it helps me. :)
thx hype
meditation and journaling is what im trying now

You just have to find what works with your interest.
For one thing you are very kind beause you have taken the time to thank and acknowledge everyone individually who responded.
The other thing was when you said you were a jerk to yourself. This points me in another direction.
People are jerks to themselves for a reason and in most cases it has to do with what type of upbringing or parenting was involved. Again, Dennis Simsek addresses this in some of his material.
For instance, I had a good home but I was emotionally neglected so it's not necessarily an abusive home that causes it. It causes self-esteem issues.
Look up Dr. Jonice Webb and read some of her blogs. Find her quiz on Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN) and take it. Check out her books as well.
People have anxiety for a reason and it has roots like a tree. Anxiety = trapped emotions and you have to peel back the layers to get to the root cause and not just treat the symptoms.
I post reminders on walls and various other spots, as well as letting trusted members of my support network remind me when my need is too great to remember my own name, much less the simplicities of life.

You said you eat only once a day. Did you know that not eating something every few hours can cause a change in your blood sugar, and cause physical symptoms that seem just like anxiety? I would start with eating 3 small meals a day. Have a snack if you have to. When you don't eat for so many hours, our bodies drop blood sugar and you will have dizziness, tiredness, shakiness, trouble concentrating, etc.
So, please try the 3 small meals a day, and keep that up and just see how you feel. You will probably feel a lot better! :)
Also, daily exercise will really help your mood. You can exercise inside your house too.
im so use to not being mentally and emotionally stable that the first sign that im not ok is me not eating. it gets to were thinking of eating i get sick. its like i dont deserve to eat in my mind so i wont. i dont alliow my self alot things so i no eating has to be up there at the top of things i need to do first. i just dont no how to do it? and keep doing it when so much is not ok
today has been one of the worst days in awhile so i tryed to journal and did that but that did nothing so did breathing but couldnt more than 2 mintues so i turned on music. normally noise and sound gets to me but i started to work iut while listening and that worked. i now no for certain i have broken rib and only confirmed that with sit ups but the pain was motivator? is that kinda self harm? the pains what made me keep going but i feel more relaxed now? i should eat
thx girlin
Good for you for trying all of those things. Sometimes it just takes one thing to click, you know?
Yes you need to eat! That is probably why you feel the way you do - not enough eating. Find something you like, maybe peanut butter, fruit, juices, ice cream even. You have to eat or your body will give out on you and you don't want any more problems, right?
Just saying... you can do this, you can do better. You are worth it!!
have u tried meditation? i thought it sounded easy but its not
no dont need more problems
im not worth it
No, I actually haven't done much meditation. It hasn't worked for me, but that doesn't mean I won't try doing it again. It works for lots of people.
Make sure and EAT! Three small meals... snacks... something. I'm telling you, a lot of your symptoms and depression and anxiety are because you are not eating enough.
Do exercise daily. Take a walk around your block. The more you tire yourself out with physical activities, the better you will sleep at night.
You can do this. It won't be that hard, but you just have to get started, okay? :)
thx girlin
