Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
This week has brought on alot of emtions. Ups and downs. I've had a couple of bad panic attacks lately, I guess due to stress. I am having a hysterectomy on Friday, and I'm freaking out. Like everything is moving in fast forward and I'm stuck in reverse. And on top of that, we are fostering a kitten that we can't keep, yet fall in love with more and more on a daily basis. She's going to her forever home on Wednesday. But in my heart I want to keep her, and let her thrive here. But I know we don't have the space for another animal. We already have five. My heart aches for this little girl of a cat. She is so small, underdeveloped, and skinny. Although she has picked up a little bit of weight, she's still small. She is a little ray of sunshine in our world.
This surgery has been coming for some time. I knew eventually I would need it, so here I am. We have tried to have this surgery three times so far, and this will be the fourth attempt. Like the first time, my partner and I caught the flu, so that was out. Then, there was a snow storm, and we couldn't make it out the driveway, let alone the street. So, we had to reschedule again. Then, it was timing. We had to reschedule a third time. So, now, we are at the fourth attempt, and I'm excited and yet terrified out of my wits about this. I can't get over they are taking a piece of my body out of me. OMG I don't know how I'm going to deal with this when Thursday gets here. Can life just stop for a few seconds while I catch my breath? I've tried breathing techniques and stuff, doesn't work. I think if I just sit down to cry, maybe that would help. I'm scared to death of the medical field. I'm scared of needles, nurses, docs, all of it. I go to get a weight check, I'm scared that I've gained to much weight and my heart will stop. If I'm losing weight too fast I'm afraid I'm going to damage my organs.
This week I'm a total wreck. I know I'm overthinking everything. I'm just overdoing everything. If I just keep my mind focused on something other than me, I guess I'll be alright. I don't think drinking will solve my problems, but I'm willing to give anything a try at at this point. I'm trying to keep myself in check. Panic attacks have happened twice this week. I'm kicking myself in the butt cuz I want to scream or something. So, anyone got any advice for me this week? After Friday, everything will be fine. I think. I hope.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Keep your eye on the prize. Hope healing happens here.
Good luck with your upcoming surgery. I think deep down you know everything will turn out fine.
I went through all the motions when I was waiting to have surgery - and normal it is to have these moments.
Best wishes.
