On the main forum sometimes members do a check in thread-so instead of coming here to find nothing new has been added-I will have this thread so we can atleast say"we were here" and we left our little foot prints or cane prints...just don't leave any cat or dog droppings please-might begin smelling up the place!

I don't really eat snacks because of my stomach. I usually only eat twice a day with liquids only for lunch. Sometimes it helps my stomach and sometimes it doesn't. I've been losing a lot of weight. My GI just seems to think I have live with these symptoms because they are due to my surgery. I still have attacks of ischemic colitis sometimes. There are only two GIs here both of whom work in the same office.

My asthma is really flaring badly since yesterday. I am in the yellow zone for my asthma action plan. I have a 5 day prednisone burst in the house in case it's needed. Why does this always have to happen when there's a holiday coming up?

Not like I have any plans on doing something special these days,but I find I don't even mention what I am planning on doing because something will happen and mess it up

I don't do anything special these days either. I try not to not get excited about anything because that way I won't be disappointed if it doesn't work out. Yes, drinking a lot of water is definitely important. Thank you. They are painting the window sills tomorrow. We're on the 3rd floor. It's supposed to be hot but they are going to take out our a/c so that window sill can be painted. Humidity and paint fumes bother my asthma especially when it's flaring. We don't have a choice though. The property manager and her husband have been very kind to us.

You know I think certain neighbor think I'm nuts or something because we have screen on our front fence to keep garbage from blowing into the yard.
Just this last wind storm , caused three buckets full of leaves to gather on the walk.
But when they bother to clean their yards they use a blower to scatter their garbage about,well I don't want to scatter the garbage about,I want to get rid of it.
When we had lawn and didn't have the screen,our grass was so covered in leaves,you couldn't see the grass.
The way I look at it,I don't tell anyone how to care for their property,they shouldn't judge how I care for mine

We have no one to visit. I'm not close to anyone here nor my family. My boyfriend's family lives two hours away. I had to start a 5 day prednisone burst yesterday. I agree completely. We live in an apartment building so we don't have to worry about yard work or shoveling.

My asthma was fine last week but on Saturday another flare started up so I'm in the yellow zone on my asthma action plan. I had a telephone appointment with my family doctor. She said we may not always be able to find a trigger but this may be a cycle for me. That if I develop a fever and I start coughing a lot to reach out to her again. Only then would we talk about prednisone.
