Since we usually have more thank one ailment or sometimes our ailment doesn't attract enough members to an forum thread-please feel free to post your open ailment discussions here.
On the main forum sometimes members do a check in thread-so instead of coming here to find nothing new has been added-I will have this thread so we can atleast say"we were here" and we left our little foot prints or cane prints...just don't leave any cat or dog droppings please-might begin smelling up the place!

My 5 year CT scan went well and I didn't have a reaction to the contrast thanks to the prednisone and Benadryl pre-medication. They said that the results should be back by the time I see my family doctor on the 21st. I hope so as it takes 7 to 10 days for results to come back.

My 5 year cancer scans are clear which means my colon cancer is considered cured. I'm happy about it but I wish I had answers regarding my stomach issues. Also I'm losing weight without trying. I had my MMR booster and I hope I won't get side effects from it.

Thank you but Thanksgiving in Canada is in October. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! It is very frustrating. Bad weather today I hope it will be good weather tomorrow for my appointment. I have to walk there and the endocrinologist travels from 40 minutes away.

Wow I haven't posted here since the end of november-sorry about that.Hope you had good weather to walk in..the other day it actually waited to rain till I was indoors-someone was watching over me!

It was cold when I walked to see the endocrinologist but I was able to eat downtown which was nice. The endocrinologist is referring me to the local ENT for parathyroid surgery. I have to wait for the referral and an appointment. My family doctor said the local ENT does all the surgeries for her thyroid cancer patients. I've seen the local ENT in the past. If he won't do my surgery or I don't feel comfortable having him do my surgery there is an ENT surgeon in another city we could try. We're not going to try the surgeon in another province because the wait list for him is very very long.

I'm glad most of the snow is gone and it can stay gone! My asthma is bad the past couple of days. I think I have a cold.

I'm so very sorry you're sick too!*hugs* I've been sick with a cold or some sort of virus since the 15th. It kept making my asthma worse so I went to the after hours clinic. I am on prednisone for a week. I will be on prednisone over Christmas but not on my birthday which is on December 28th. I hope you feel better soon and that you have a very Merry Christmas!*hugs*
