Tooth Pain after a root canal! Is it an infection?
DianeJoe89
Hello, my partner has been moaning about teeth pain for the last week. He had a root canal from a local dentist in January; they are temporarily closed. Although there is no evident infection, I suspect the root canal gives him trouble. I've been giving her antibiotics and painkillers for the past three days. I can see he's had it with it and can't handle it any longer. Is it better for me to take him to a public or private clinic? Is there an infection causing the discomfort? I'm expecting that someone here can give me some advice?

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Where did you get the antibiotics, was that from that dentist? Best not to give someone just any kind of antibiotics for a tooth pain. A new appointment with a dentist can prescribe the correct medications for this current problem.
It's also possible the pain is coming from one of the teeth next to the root canal. Not even the root canal itself. That's why it's best to have a dentist diagnose this.
I found my dentist on Yelp.com. Call a bunch of places until you find one with an opening for tomorrow (Friday).
