  Today I had an appointment with my neuro and he said that I should start taking azathioprine,after a blood test that will show us if it's ok for me to take it. He also said that it has some side effects but he didn't say much. I'm 18 and after a search I did on the net I read about a high cancer risk and nausea..I don't think I want to take it if it will make me so sick and increases my cancer risk. Also,I'm giving some serious exams this year and I can't be at bed/home all day to deal with the...

  I take a mestinon every 4 hours. On the last hour  I feel the weakness starting again. Should I take a mestinon every 3 hours ? Do you change your dose of mestinon as you feel on your own? Wishes to all of you xx

  In 10 days school is starting for me again but with MG. I'm a little worried about my medication. On school days I was used to wake up on 7.30 because my school is near but now I wonder if I should wake up on 6 or 7 to give my medication time to work so that I can be ok at 8. What do you think? Also my neuro said that I should take a mestinon every 4 hours from 8pm to 8 am,so 4 mestinons all day. If I wake up on 6pm with the first mestinon I will need  5 or 6 mestinon for a full day so I can...

  You are outside the house somewhere and you feel very weak. You don't even know if you can get up or shallow. You have your meds with you. What would you do? Would you take an extra mestinon? Some prednisone? That never happened to me,but I wonder what we should do in that case. Have you experienced something like that? I think at home you can deal better with that.Hugs to all of youu

  Hello again!I'm taking 30 mg of prednisone every other day. The day I'm off prednisone I'm avoiding walking too far because I'm afraid that I will be tired. When I'm taking prednisone, I will go everywhere. Of course my neurologist never said that there would be a difference and I don't see any difference either.   Before my thymectomy I was so anxious that I didn't even wanna go to the hospital. I was saying that I will live with those doses of meds forever,stupid.
