  I havent gotten new glasses for over two years (since my initial diagnosis with MG).  I am relatively stable right now after my thymectomy and with cellcept/low dose prednisone, and I would like to get my eyes tested and get new glasses.Anybody have any hints or suggestions or is it still a routine matter?  My thought is to get a morning appointment when I should be a little stronger (not that I have huge swings), and take some mestinon before the appointment.  Other than notifiying the...

  Well, I had my consultation yesterday regarding a Thymectomy.  Based on the recent randomized study published in the NEJM and my discussion with the surgeon it seems like the right thing to do.  He explained that it isnt a surgery that will have immediate effect, but it will give me a better chance for improved long term outlook with less reliance on drugs.  It would be a full transternal thymectomy to minimize any chance of leaving some of the gland in my body.  My biggest concern with my...
