  There is a proposal in Oklahoma to change the asset forfeiture law in drug crimes to protect the innocent.These asset forfeiture laws just drive me crazy. They have become a way for law enforcement to commit legalized robbery even on innocent citizens.This proposed legislation has two chances to pass here in Oklahoma-----slim and none.   The tremendous amounts of money floating around in the form of federal grants actually corrupts law enforcement and our criminal justice system.In order to continue to receive these grants year after year, the various law enforcement agencies have to demonstrate a need for this money in the form of more and more arrests.
