There is a proposal in Oklahoma to change the asset forfeiture law in drug crimes to protect the innocent.
These asset forfeiture laws just drive me crazy. They have become a way for law enforcement to commit legalized robbery even on innocent citizens.
This proposed legislation has two chances to pass here in Oklahoma-----slim and none. But it is a start. I am tickled just to see this law proposed.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

BTW, people who were involved into drug crimes still don't have reliable lawyers
My brother had a similar situation, he was arrested for drug possession. Nothing serious, but he was tried as a drug dealer. He had no money for his own lawyer, so he was assigned a free one, which was good for nothing. So he was put away for a very long time. Some time later, my friend was also tried for illegal drugs in his state. Here the situation is different. The family hired a good lawyer for him, who made an excellent plan, thanks to which he received the most loyal punishment.
