  Ok so I will be going in for my egg retrieval here in a few weeks and have been doing a ton of research on the procedure.  Every video I can find shows the women being put to sleep for the retrieval.  I will be having the procedure done in the office and will be given a xanex prior to the the appointment and a pain medication injection right before.  I am concerned about the pain and being awake and having major anxiety during the procedure.  Has anyone else had the retrieval done in an...

  Hello all....So I have just joined the group today.  My husband and I have been trying to concieve for 12 years with no success.  I have PCOS.  We have done several cycles of Clomid and injections with timed intercourse with no success.  We are now starting the process of IVF.  We are currently on day 3 of Antibiotics and I am also taking birth control.  I am so excited to be doing IVF but also a nervous wreck.  It is such an expensive step that has no guarantees.
