I'm currently working as a full-time student to complete my masters in marriage and family therapy. In the midst of school, I got a call to come live with my parents to offer them support. My husband will join me as soon as possible, and in the meantime we spend time walking and talking on the phone with each other and visiting as often as possible. Our daughters are both grown and married with lucrative careers and happy families of their own. I know my time with my parents is limited, but I also realize that my presence is enhancing their quality of life. I'm taking advantage of every minute with them I can.

Still hoping I'll find someone to interact with me - I'm posting comments for others trying to help them come up with answers to the situations they are posting about. Many of the posts are the same - the one I responded to today originated in January, 2017 and she got two responses. I'm the third and it's August...not a real efficient support group at this point.I do like offering support to others. It's a lovely distraction.

Hello All! I'm so grateful to find a group of people who know what I'm going through. I had hoped to find a local caregivers support group, but they are few and far between. I left my husband a year ago and moved in with my parents full-time to care for them. My husband is selling our home and looking for a job here so he can join me, but it has been a slow move. It's difficult when you are in your late 50's to pick up and move. I'm the primary caregiver of my 90-year old mother and my 93-year...
