  I am so nervous. I begin subcutaneous treatment tomorrow. I was diagnosed with CVID a bit over a month ago. I am skipping IVIG based on how many major side effects most people report. I have to go to the doctors office tomorrow to be taught how to admister the transfusions and to have the doctor watch for side effects. I am really looking forward to doing treatments at home moving forward, versus a doctor office or hospital. It's hard to believe that the day is already here. I have been...

  Since yesterday afternoon I have been feeling better. I decided to choose the healthy route instead of the sick route. I had another antibiotic prescription to pick up after work and I also wanted to go to the gym. I hadn't worked out at the gym in about 3 weeks. I decided to not pick up the prescription, because I so badly wanted to go to do a bodycombat class at 24 hour. I felt if I went to the pharamacy I might skip out on the gym.   The battle with antibiotics

  This week I feel like my body doesn't want to be on antibiotics. I developed an allergy to macrobid a few weeks ago. I was prescibed it a while ago as prevention for UTI. I took the med 2 more time this month, once the last 3 days. Directly after taking it this am I noticed a shortness of breath, then the visual floaters came, then nausea and a migraine. I was only able to make it better by taking an antihistamine and an hour nap on my lunch break. Then last week I was prescribed Amoxicillin...

   So I got this message from my doctor today about my reoccuring UTI and was just wondering if anyone else has had similiar issues or if I am the outlier.My immunologist said, "UTIs are not usually part of the CVID.   I was diagnosed with CVID two weeks ago. I've been waiting for an answer since November of last year when I noticed my IgA was very low as a part of a celiac screening I requested. I do not have Celiac Disease, and I am still uncertain why I have so many digestion issues. I do have Hoshimotos Thyroiditis and excema. I have several allergies.
