The battle with antibiotics
This week I feel like my body doesn't want to be on antibiotics. I developed an allergy to macrobid a few weeks ago. I was prescibed it a while ago as prevention for UTI. I took the med 2 more time this month, once the last 3 days. Directly after taking it this am I noticed a shortness of breath, then the visual floaters came, then nausea and a migraine. I was only able to make it better by taking an antihistamine and an hour nap on my lunch break. Then last week I was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg for a respiratory infection/sinus infection. I took the first dose and within 5 hours I was nauseous and an hour later vomiting until I had nothing left a few hours later. I decided to take it one more time 2 days later once my stomach finally didn't feel in cramps and my appetite returned. The second time I was nauseous within 4 hours woke up from my sleep and was straight to the bathroom vomiting for the next few hours. I had a really badly sore throat for the next day. This whole time I noticed my bladder wasn't feeling right and then a few days later I decided to take a macrobid just in case it was a UTI. I am getting occsional sharp pain in my urthrea and I have been urinating much more frequently but not burning while urinating.
I am fed up with all these antibiotics. It is throwing off my gut and I have to take more meds when on them. I finally decided to workout again this week. I went for a run on Saturday and then took bodycombat at the gym for the first time in about a month. I finally had energy tonight to clean up my place and felt mostly in a good mood. Maybe things will begin to get better.
