Hi Everybody,

Once in awhile in the past we have done a Roll Call post to see who is here and why/how we got here. It's been sometime since we did one, and I thought now might be a good time to let others know you're here and why. That and apparently we're back up to 2,000 members!

Please don't post any last names or your kids' names - those should be kept private for your safety - this is a public forum.

I will start:

I am Cliffskat, my name is Martha, I lost my husband Cliff to an unexpected heart attack in November 2007. He was only 55, I was only 50 when he died. We had just celebrated being together for 30 years. I joined DS a couple weeks after he died. I became a "Community Leader" or "CL" for short in March of 2011. My friends from those early days have mostly moved on with their lives, but I remember them with great affection and gratitude for the help and understanding they gave me. I stayed to help others get through their losses like they helped me. I met my new husband in this group (he is a widower), and we married in 2010. I moved from Florida to England as my new husband is British (and a fellow CL here). I also have two beautiful autistic sons. My life looks nothing like it did before I lost Cliff. But it is good for the most part.

I'm Judy. I lost my husband, Steve, at the end of May this year to a sudden and massive heart attack. We had been together 35 years. I'm still wandering in the wilderness, so to speak. My friends have been wonderful but this forum is really helping me understand that I am not alone in my grieving although I wish none of us had to go through this.

Hi I'm Robert and I lost my Beautiful Wife suddenly in February of 2016 she was 56 years old. I miss her everyday. I haven't posted in such a long time only because it is very painful, and I feel for everyone on this site.

I started dating someone that my Wife and myself knew since we were all kids and she is so understanding. My two children accepted her with open arms I guess because they don't want to see me alone, my Daughter and her have a beautiful relationship.

I wish and hope for the best for all on this site. Just trust in the Lord. God Bless you all.

T here. I haven't visited in a while. I have been dealing with probate hell with greedy family members. It has been over a year since he passed.
It is so sickening. I have even been hospitalized from the stress. All this has prevented me from moving on mentally but I am ever hopeful that peace will come.

Hi, my name is,Lexieann. I lost my beloved husband exactly one year ago to colon cancer. It was an 11 week battle and I am still in shock that he is gone. We were married for 24 years and I miss him terribly. I became a widow at 59.

I'm Stefanie, bebegirl is a play on the nickname baby girl, which my husband used to call me. He passed in march at 30 yrs. We were high school sweet hearts and best friends.

I'm Stephanie, I lost my husband May 21st, 2017. He was my best friend and the love of my life. He was just 50. It's a long story, a long illness. I feel lost. I try to stay busy, because that helps. But I miss him so damn much. Glad for this site and hopeful to find some support here. My friends and family have been amazing but nobody can really understand.
