Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I'm George AKA BrokenGeo, My wife died of cancer on June 7/13 after 50 years of marriage So I'm part of the class of 2012-2014(?). I'm still here once in a while to see if any of the old (my) group post anything. I use to be quite active here but have now I guess, mellowed considerably and am just along for the ride. This (particularly the old) forum was a life saver and I hope it continues to be for everyone that comes here.
Best Regards to All! Geo.
I too lost my husband when he was only 56. I totally agree with George - the old forum was a life saver for me as well; he passed in December 2014. I depended on it for clarity and support so many times. What you are doing Martha as a CL is literally a life-line that we all need so desperately when nothing makes sense. I no longer come here as often but when I feel that darkness come over me I do log in.
This is Lon. I lost my wife of 50 years, plus 3 years that we went together before we got married in June, 2018. I also lost my mother in December, 2018.
I am going to make a separate post so that anyone wanting to reply to me can do so under that post.
I am Renie and my husband passed away unexpected in 2016. I work on getting stronger everyday and feel like life is getting better;however, thinking about him sometimes brings me to tears.
Thank you
I’m SHEILA. I lost my husband of 34 years a little over a year ago to multiple health issues. He suffered a three year downward spiral until his poor body could no longer handle it. I was his caretaker and was devistated when he died. I am slowly returning to normalcy with much therapy. I come here once in awhile to read and sometimes comment if I feel I can offer help or support to someone.
I just checked in this evening because I checked my old e-mail.....
Boy, has it been a lonnnnnng struggle for me ...emotionally and financially, but somehow I think they needed to go together....I did the right things...I have no regrets.....lots of sadness at time but so glad to have 7 years behind me now....hang in there anyone struggling...I needed a break from this site to move up a little in my emotions....and the new site is beautiful...God bless us and our lost ones...and I mean who ever believes there is one...I have no real clue and do not follow any faith, except the faith in LOVE...Laura
I'm Duchess, and I lost my Tom 13 months ago. It has been by far the worst experience of my life. Still trying to figure out why I'm still here because I no longer feel a purpose without him.
I rarely post any more. but I still read this site often.

I lost my wonderful and loving soulmate and husband Gary of 33 years October 18, 2016 to a heart attack. He was only 56 years old. I found him in the early morning, I tried to save him and the firefighters and paramedics tried to save him. He was taken to the hospital but did not survive. He was put on life support as his last request was to be a organ donor. He gave his lungs to a double lung transplant patient. His final gift of life. I didn't say good bye but I did say "I will see you later". I miss him every single day. He was the love of my life. He had the most beautiful blue eyes. He was handsome, and I loved his laugh and smile and the way he hugged me I wish I could feel that again I miss that so much. I know one day when it is my time I will join him as he always told me he would wait for me. He has never broken a promise. I love you my sweet sweet Gary.
I am on here once in a while.
