YOUNG, and very restricted

I'm too young to be going through the situation I am facing in todays society. Ever since I started working I have two jobs. I had jobs so I could escape the emotional and mental abuse. 



But now over time after 9 surgeries on my ovaries (PCOS, ENDOMETRIOSIS,) and my appendix being removed. It’s hard to be on my feet for long periods of time. Sometimes I can’t even hold a job because the pain is just unbearable, even on proper medical treatment plan. But now my mental issues are becoming a problem too. 



So I was thinking about maybe applying for social security? My schizophrenia, depression, PTSD, and generalized anxiety, and bipolar disorder make things very difficult. I do know I am going to apply for hud housing and section 8, what are other things I could do?

Yes, you can apply for Social Security Disability. Might as well try. Good luck.

I'm so sorry you are going through so much both physically and emotionally. I can't even imagine, but my heart goes out to you! That's a lot of recovery for your body. You mentioned you held multiple jobs to escape emotional and mental abuse. Have you tried talking to a therapist or counselor? I know when I am having trouble processing through something emotional, I talk to my counselor and have gotten great ideas on how to work through it and to have a fresh perspective. I pray that as your body has time to heal that the pain you have will lessen and you can get to feeling better. Hugs and prayers sent your way!

@photonut, I've.definitely tried talking to someone licensed about it. But since it really only saw a therapist under the age of 18, they would call my mom and she would tell them I’m a “pathological liar.” I am diagnosed with five mental illnesses and around the same amount of physical illness. My mother overlooks everything because if she would have been paying attention she would have known or seen there is something wrong with me.
She controls my father and refuses to do ANY group counseling. I've even attempted suicide around this time last year, the accident was so bad not only did my car catch on fire, the motor got ripped in half and both airbags deployed and somehow with gods blessing, I walked away with nothing wrong. She still didn't care. She still doesn't. I blacked out for two days so I don't remember the day before or the day of.
I have cried and cried to her and she tells me with such hate to change but won't give me a chance. I don't know what else to say anymore
Behind her back in applying for state housing, food, and ssi.

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...
