Maybe I need to Pace Myself

Maybe it's just the pressure of society of having goals at a certain age to the point where i feel like if i dont achieve a specific life stone goal i feel as if i'm behind or i'm getting left out. For example, i'm in college taking 4 classes most i took was either 5 or 6. Between being a full time student, trying to work part time, and do an internship soon? then to top it off i have to have a social life so now it's like which one takes priorty over the other?

Yeah I’ve been there. Your schedule is too full and so was mine and so are the schedules of a lot of people…question is, if it is not so full do we have the discipline to actually do worthwhile things without external schedules mandating them?

Honestly... It's like which is the highest priority then do that then the others later on.. or do a little of this, and that! but.. it seems like picking and choosing between things is common. So I'm not sure perhaps If the courses didn't have a lot to do then maybe? for internships I guess we'll see come spring, and same goes for a part time job except this summer.

Congratulate yourself for what you ARE doing, not what you aren't doing :-)

I think it's great that you are in college, and taking 4 classes is great, while also working part time. The internship coming up sounds exciting, too.

It's not easy being an adult, lol! You are preparing yourself for your life, because you will probably have a career and be working full time hours, so this is great preparation for the rest of your life.

Try to think of things as positive, exciting times, and that will literally give you the energy to keep up with your schedule.

Plus, you know this schedule won't be forever. School semester will end, internship will start.... so try and keep up best you can for now, and look forward to the fun times at the internship. Keep your eye on your ultimate goals. This will make things seem fun, and not as stress or a chore.

You're doing great! Keep it up! It will all be worth it in the end.

I'm not working part time yet.. I'm trying to in the summer though.. now I'm stress because now I have to think of will I have to stop working because some internships won't let you intern if you currently have a job and others will.

Yes, that can be stressful. All you can do is figure out which internships that you want the most, and then see if they allow part time work outside, too. If they don't allow it, they don't allow it. But you do have control over which internship you choose to do.

You have control over your life. You can pick which internship works best for you.

Keep at it... you're doing great!

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...
