I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.
I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

I was underslept from PTSD insomnia the night before (which is why I posted a thread here for advice re how others cope with that) so yesterday Sun 4-30-23 I only got 1.02km in, but that meets my daily 1km, I'm happy to say. :-)

I rebounded to more wellness yesterday. Why, I do not know so I just enjoyed it to the max. Walking does wonders for my ability to cope with my chronic PTSD symptoms. What with walking all over the grocery story and the mall plus walking my beloved dog after getting home at 5pm on Mon 5-1-23, I'd walked 2.4km. Yay! :-) So today Tue 5-2-23 I can just walk 1km and be well above average. :-)

I walked 1.4km today Wed 5-3-23. It was HOT in Mexico for walking today, so I brought a lot of sport drink along with me.

I walked 1.3km today Thu 5-4-23. Thank goodness it wasn't as hot today. There was a good breeze blowing. I loved how walking helped my PTSD sleep last night and I'm counting on that again tonight, too.

Only 1.02km today Fri 5-5-23 but it means I still met my daily 1km walking goal. The CKD hurt, though, so I left it at that. Still, always grateful to be on my feet even leaning on a cane rather than being in a wheel chair again like I was last year.

Yesterday Sat 5-6-23 I walked 1.3km, so I met my 1km daily goal. Today I walked 1.15km so I met my daily goal again today. It was easy yesterday, but today it was hard. Yet I continue to be consistent despite the ups and downs of my CKD and PTSD disorders. I'm proud of that.

I really got going today and walked TRIPLE my daily 1km and more. 3.6km. Yay! :-)

I was sick for a while and didn't walk but last week I walked 1 mile twice and 3 miles once.

Glad you're better now, Rizen. I've been on a trip so my walking routine has been interrupted. I'm scheduled to fly home this afternoon, though. So if all goes well I can get home and get back into it tomorrow. :)

Back from my trip across the border to Guatemala to re-enter Mexico for another 6 month visa, I got back to walking again today. Walking on my cane, I met my 1km daily walking goal again. It felt good.

I surpassed my 1km goal again today, walking 1.2km on my cane with my dog. In the last few months I've begun to have a new CKD (kidney) symptom: dizziness. The unusual thing for me is that it makes me dizzy even lying down. The room keeps swirling on me in bed, so it has added to my PTSD insomnia symptom.

I did 1.4km of walking today and before noon at that. Dunno what got into me, but I'm glad it did!

I walked 1.1km today, surpassing my daily 1km goal, but it was ugly going. Lots of CKD neuropathy foot pain in every step. Ouch.
Rizen
I walked 1 mile, 2 miles and 3 miles this week.

So glad you're still walking lots, Rizen. Today I did, too: 2.6 kilometers, more than double my daily 1km goal. :)
