I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.
I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

Bought a walker today so I can still get around safely on those days when CKD makes it hard to stand get up out of a chair. Neuropathy pain fluctuates wildly with CKD. It's good to be prepared.

I walked 3.06km today Sun 2-12-23, for the 1st time in a month with the dog. We both loved it. :-)

Seems the dog didn't pick up as many ticks on yesterday's walk as I feared she might, so I'll take her out for another walk today. It's even nicer for my PTSD management for a walk to include her wagging her tail along the way.

I wasn't woozy yesterday from the Chronic Kidney Disease I got from a bad psychiatrist's over prescribing me Seroquel for my PTSD nightmares. That meant I could go for a walk with the dog again, and sure enough, I met my 3km goal, walking 3.02km! Yay! Today I'll take it easy since it's Valentine's Day.

Today is the day after Valentine's Day, and it's my new significant other's birthday. Nice double celebration every year for me, huh? Today walking, then, involved working with her family and getting a cake and other party items together for her tonight. I only walked 1.67km, but it was for a good cause.

I got 3km walked yesterday Thu 2-16-23 so today I'm going to lay off walking as promised to do it every other day. I'm really glad I'm able to do it and that I'm not stuck in a wheel chair like I was twice last year.

I walked 4.02km today to the convenience store and back, and it was too much. I took the dog for a walk and forgot my cane. Things got dangerous when I stumbled a couple of times. Not good.

I walked 1 mile twice and 2 miles once.

Nice walking, Rizen. I'm still homebound since the CKD has made me dizzy. Better not to risk a fall for now.

It's been a couple of days since I walked due to CKD dizziness. But I think the dizziness is down enough for me to try today. Fingers crossed.

I walked 1km, not 3, yesterday Wed 2-22-23. I wasn't totally steady yet, but I got it done. I'm going to shoot for the same today. Easy does it. Baby steps.

I only walked 1km yesterday. I'm not planning to walk any today, in keeping with my commitment to the suggestion that I only walk every other day instead of every day. At present, though, I'm still fitting into size 38 jeans well, which is really nice since at my heaviest my waist jeans size was 56. :-)

It looks like walking 1km per day rather than 3km every other day works better for my CKD and PTSD health. My walking companion, my dog, certainly thinks so. We walked 1.27km and it went well. :-)

That's good mujica. I walked 1 mile 2 times and 3 miles one time.
