I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.
I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

Yesterday I got back to it, thankfully. I walked 3.17km, exceeding my 3km goal again! YAY!
Rizen
I walked 1 mile, 3 miles and 3 miles.

Way to go, Rizen! I walked a whopping 3.51km yesterday, a half km above and beyond my 3km goal. YAY!

Yesterday I didn't walk because I took heed of suggestions saying that I shouldn't walk 3km every day, but every other day instead. I already cut my daily walking goal down from 6km daily down to 3km this past year. Now in addition to cutting back on distance, I'm cutting back on frequency. But the long term total goal is to stay out of the wheel chair and keep walking, so if this works for that purpose it's fine with me. Hope so.

I got 3.27km of walking in yesterday. YAY! I'm following through with the suggestion that I walk 3km every OTHER day, so I'll lay off today and walk again tomorrow. It worked well for me yesterday.

Today I hurt with CKD neuropathy pain whether I was sitting at home alone or I was out and about walking among people, so I opted for the latter. I wore shades because once in a while during my walk my eyes teared up a little from the pain, but I got 4.20km of walking in, way beyond my 3km daily goal. Now that I've agreed to walk only every OTHER day, I'm glad I can walk that much.

Less neuropathy pain so far today. That's good, because it means I can walk to the pharmacy for some items my s/o asked me to get for her today. It's nice weather out, too. Looking forward to it.

Yo, I walked 3.08km yesterday, and even though I planned to take the day off, since I walked 2/3 of it grocery shopping I walked that last 1 km anyway and ended up walking 3.24 km today. I'm really and truly keeping from being confined to that wheel chair I was stuck in twice last year. COOL!

I promised to take a day off from walking every other day and I haven't done that this week, so today I'm going to keep from walking. It's great that I've been able to do walk 3km or more daily, but it's smart to pace myself.

I walked 3.20km day before yesterday, 2-3-23, so I did take yesterday 2-4-23 off. I'm hoping to get 3km in walking today. It does wonders for my body but even greater wonders for my mind and managing PTSD.

I had a bad CKD neuropathy pain day yesterday. I'd walked 3km so many days last week that it was ok for me to lay off as friends suggested I do. I only walked. 0.87km yesterday. Today I woke up with less CKD neuropathy and herniated disk pain, so laying off worked.

I walked 3.08 km yesterday on the most PAIN FREE day I've had in ages. It was GREAT.
Rizen
I walked 1 mile, 2 miles and 3 miles this week.

I'm in the 11th year of living with CKD from a bad pdoc's PTSD meds overdose, and last month a new symptom came up that I had last night again and have today. Since my kidneys don't give enough oxygen to my blood for my extremities, I've had nerve damage in my feet. Now it's the other extremity--my head. I'm dizzy and woozy since last night into now 11am today, and I'm not going out because I don't want folks on the street to think I'm drunk. That's ironic, because I rarely consume alcohol and never, ever consume recreational drugs. Bummer.

I walked ALONE today and made 3.12km. Even I can't believe it. 2 days ago I couldn't get up out of a chair without both arms on my cane. Wow! :-) :-):-) -) :-):-):-)
