Im okay today. Its the new. But its different. I have had 3 flashbacks today. Each one different. Now i may sound crazy but the flashbacks are about what happened 4 years ago. I was on the bus and a girl threatened to kill me. I have never been able to let go of that event. And a year ago i was diagnosed with PTSD. I self harm. But my boyfriend made me realize it hurts people when i do that. Honestly what im trying to say is im triggered from all these flashbacks and i dont what to do. Can someonw help?

Flashbacks are crazy business. In my mind, a sane flashback is called, "A Memory." It comes and goes without taking over my senses. My own crippling flashbacks tend to daisy-chain where one flashback leads to another, often in completely insensible order. I, just-a-patient personal, do better when I don't try to make sense of them. When I *simply* follow them, they often lead me to wounds in need of cleaning and healing.
Gentle support while you sort your own, Asher. ^It^ tends to be at least a little different for everybody.

There is some good news in your post, you are able to recognize you are having flashbacks, this means you can now start to work on identifying them earlier and earlier and eventually stop them before they actually happen.
But right now, you are in a flashback and you need some strategies for helping with that. So here is what works for me. As a former cutter, an elastic band around the wrist worked wonders for me. Instead of cutting, I would snap the band, not only did it satisfy the urge, but it often helped to bring me back from the flashback. Perhaps since you are no longer cutting you are having some problems pulling yourself out of the flashback. Maybe this would work for you?
I also found photography helpful. Take your cellphone or camera and go out and take pictures of things you find beautiful, buildings with cool designs, trees, clouds, interesting objects around the house, or light shining through a window, anything really. I found this keep me present and gave me some relief from processing for a few hours anyway. Those breaks made it easier to get through the difficult times. I guess what I am saying is try to find something that is both interesting to you and distracts you so you can have a break from the haunting flashbacks.
I hope you find something that works but remember, these tough times of processing information will come and go, this will end and the darkness will life.
