I've suffered from GAD and Panic disorder since I was a small child; I am now 27 years old. My panic/anxiety attacks range from not too bad and last a very short period of time to debilitating and last for hours. They are the hardest thing in my life to deal with. I feel your pain and understand every single feeling you have when it comes to panic/anxiety attacks. Having a good support system is the number one key for me making it from day to day. I also take Lexapro and it helps for the most part. I also go to a therapist and that helps immensely.
I wish you the best of luck with coping and overcoming this.
I have had more attacks at night. Palpitations, thoughts of dying, nervous, rapid breathing, choking/smothering feeling. I have tried to mentally deal with these symptoms, and tell myself that I am not going to die from this, and that it is uncomfortable, but that I will get through it. I also look at a lot of the anxiety videos on YouTube. The relaxation and meditation ones are good and the anxiety one's are great! They make you feel that you are not alone! Give it a try and hope that this helps :)
