I just had a major knee surgery so I haven’t been able to skate. Technically I haven’t been able I skate since I got injured and that was in June. I was at a practice and I had slipped while making a bad turn and dislocated my knee twice. Because of the surgery I had crutches for awhile. While I was on the crutches I slipped multiple times. I try to go to my teams practices, but every time I go to the rink I have either really bad anxiety or I have a panic attack. Now whenever i see a wet surface I have to walk on I start to panic. What should I do to stop this from happening?

The Friday before Labor Day just before we left, the options given to me basically were either quit of be fired, and if I were to stay on I were to be put on an improvement plan, which is pretty much synonymous with getting fired. I was going to do the improvement plan and just ride it out until I found another job due to money and due to the fact that I did not want to quit without another job....

I think if you start realllll slow, don't rush yourself or feel pressured at all by anyone, and take baby steps, that could help to get back into this. Also, if someone is pressuring you to skate, ask if you could hold on to them while you skate, explaining to them because you just had knee surgery.
Take this at your own pace. Don't feel pressured by anyone that says you "should" be okay now. Take your own small steps and I am sure you will be back out there skating like you used to, in no time! :)
