Hi everyone,
Just felt like sharing this weird and unpleasant sensation that I get when I am resting or just sitting, watching television. I can always feel my heart pounding in my chest, and having a fear that it would gradually increase and may be lead to a heart attack. This robs me of so many precious and valuable moments with friends and family as I am always on an edge and can't seem to get this feeling/sensation over me.
Please let me know about any of your experiences and any ways/ suggestions as to how can I get over it?

After I changed jobs the panic attacks stopped. I have had only about one a year now since leaving that job. Apparently, the job was causing a lot of stress and panic attacks and eliminating this source helped get rid of the frequent panic .
Recently, I have started listening to an audio book on panic attacks and anxiety. I usually listen to it while in bed and it helps me in acknowledging my symptoms and accepting that these palpitations are harmless.
