Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

I'm sure you can find somebody who would be able to relate. Would you be willing to be a little more specific, and talk about what has been going on with you, symptoms of your OCD, your personal anxieties, etc.?

It was started when i gave birth to my child, at first i thought its just a postpartum depression but its been a year already but my condition is getting worst. I dont want to go outside, dont want to meet a friend cuz i feel like i will do a something wrong. When i go to a mall or any area that have many people i can't breath, i feel nervous and i'm shaking. When people stare at me many negative thought are entering in my minds. Like they are judging me, maybe der something wrong with me. I've thinking also to end my life without thinking my baby.Because i feel im useless. And the worst condition that i really cant handle is that when I encounter somebody or i will see someone i cant look to there eyes properly i will accidentally look to there private parts even its a boy or a girl and i'm so much shamed, and embarass bcuz i feel that they think im weird, and then they will avoid me..huhu I dont know what to do in my life because of this condition. So i'm looking forward to meet people like me and get some ideas how to control it. :-(

Sorry you are going through this. People on these message boards can relate. You are only 21 and trust me when I say, things WILL get better. Can you call your doctor and tell them how you feel? Possibly it is post partum, and they could maybe give you a medication or you should ask them for a therapist referral. Where is your baby's father? Can you talk to your family, parents, siblings, a cousin, an aunt, etc? I know it's not easy to talk to your family possibly, but now is the time to reach out to them and there is no shame in that. Do you have any friends you could talk to? Again, sorry. It doesn't feel like it now, but you can and will get better, so please hang in there.

Tsk. Is it possible that its still a postpartum even though its a year already? My baby's father is far from us looking for a job. I don't have anyone or someone to talk cuz all my relatives are in other places, i cant even open up to my friend cuz i dont know how to start im afraid she wouldnt judge me . Im full of negativity in my body. :(

I do know some women that had postpartum well past a year later. Can you call your doctor's office and tell them? Try to get in to see them soon? Do you know any other young mothers, that you could talk to? And, if she's your friend, I don't think she would judge you :) Just start talking. Talking helps, in general. You don't have to tell her all the negative stuff right away. Just talking. You can do this :)

Okay I'll try it.. Thank you..

First, congratulations on the birth of your baby. For your baby's sake as well as your own please go to a doctor before things get worse. There are treatments and support groups that could help. Good luck

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
