Hey, I had my root canal done two months back, this is my second time.
I had my first one back in 2017, went pretty smooth and cured within a few weeks or a month. I don't know whether I was just lucky the first time, because this time was a hell of an experience!
I had my both root canals done from the same clinic, so I don't want to blindly blame on the staffs!
After my first appointment, I had severe headache and tooth soreness, later the discomforts and pain receded.
Yesterday I came to Guelph for a friend's wedding. I haven't had any fried foods ever since the root canal done, but yesterday I had! After a few bites, my tooth started to ache like hell, felt like it was throbbing. I've never experienced an embarrassing situation like that ever before. Then my friend referred me to a clinic named Guelph family dentistry, where I got my tooth cleaned and drugged. The doc said we can fix this by a new root canal treatment after killing the infection (specifically only if I'm interested!).
The staffs were amazing to treat a frantic patient like me. I was prescribed with 800mg ibuprofen.
Sorry for the long story, but I wanted to explain the entire thing to get a straightforward reply.
My question is, why does this pain isn't going away after all these days and weeks? Now I'm even afraid to bite anything which is not that harder!
Is this normal to feel hectic pain after a lot of days of a root canal? I mean I was just lucky the first time to have a smooth process?
Is there anything else I can do to cure my pain instead of having pain killers??
I know it is a long story, but still, I'm expecting replies.
Thanks for reading and possibly respond.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

Even I think of getting that tooth pulled! I'm done trying to fix it!
