My very favourite is Chrissy Amphlett who died just recently after suffering breat cancer. She also had Ms for many years. She was an amazing singer and was the lead singer for The Divinyls. She wasn't always taken well by Americans who had some trouble with some of her lyrics ('ITouch Myself', 'There's a Fine Line Between Pleasue and Pain') but Aussies loved her, not just for her music but also for her fighting spirit. She appeared on several shows here quite recently , not making a secret of her Ms.

She was an inspirtation!

I think Richard Cohen shared some very valuable insight that I learned a lot from. He was the senior producer for CBS news. He mentions in his book being referred to as "Meredith's husband." He is married to Meredith Vieria. His book about living with MS is called Blindsided.

I have a new favorite. Country singer, Clay Walker. I've seen him in concert and just recently learned that he was diagnosed with MS in 1996.

I saw him on an auction show I was watching on TV one night auctioning off some of his personal items for MS research.

He said he was lucky to find a treatment that has worked well for him, but knows many with MS are not that lucky.

He formed his own non-profit for MS research, Band Against MS in 2003.

I would have to say Montel Williams. He came out of the MS closet at the same time I had my very first episode. He was on the cover of People in 1996, and even though the doctors told me it was highly unlikely that I had MS, I just had that "gut feeling". He has done a lot to bring awareness to MS, especially for those in the minority groups of MS..........male and African American.

I have two, actually. One is Montel Williams for the simple fact that instead of hiding it like celebrities have been wont to do, he came out and not only told us that he had MS but brought the disease to light.

My other was Annette Funicello, who I only found out that she had MS in the news of her passing... which, unfortunately, was also the day I was diagnosed. I'd like to think she's my Angel-In-My-Mind.

I just can't help but add another. . . Terry Garr. I have ordered her book, 'Speedbumps' which is about working in Hollywood and apparently mentions living with MS, but still haven't had a chance to read it yet.

I always loved Richard Pryor. I can't say who is my favorite because I liked Annette a lot, Montel, Richard Cohen and Terri Gerri. I loved them all. Finding out about Annette broke my heart and I did feel special about Richard Pryor as well.

I actually went to his Pryor's daughter's website and wrote her. She wrote me back! That was exciting to hear from her. I like her a lot. Her name is Rain and she doesn't have MS, thank God. But she is a good person and so nice to write me. I wrote her back and she wrote me again. So she and her dad are very special to me. Richard was one of the greatest comedians to live.

There was also a country singer named Donna Fargo, and the guy who played " Squiggy" on Laverne and Shirley. I have to research it further, but I thought I had heard that dancer Lola Falana had MS as well.

Squiggy's name is David Lander and all three have MS, Donna Fargo sang "I'm the Happiest Girl in the Whole USA"Lola danced as back up for Sammy Davis Jr. Before going on to be famous on her own!

Clay Walker is nice on the eyes and he strted a MS charity. I forgot about the movie Hilary and Jackie. That was a good movie. i forgot about it.

I didn't know it before this thread, but Donna Fargo now is my favorite. Her song "I'm the Happiest Girl in the Whole USA" is my all time favorite song.
