Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

I am a couple of years older than you and I know how awful life can be. Instead, why not focus your remaining energy on something uplifting or positive; perhaps a lottery ticket - lots of people could handle dealing with millions of dollars in their pocket.
don't neglect your health because of pride, the only person who can make yourself be happy is you, as redundant as that may sound lol!
Try to stay positive. Keep in mind that your life is not over. There are plenty of things to do at home - when you can keep your eyes open. ;)
You CAN enjoy life with MS. Focus on friends, family, and people that are positive influences in your life.
Best of luck!
I am doing research for the ms society & the co-ordinator is trying to organise that I can do reading with the kids in the school opposite.
I will find this very good too.
There is all sorts of volunteer work around that is needing people.
Find what you are interested in & is near enough or practical for you to get to & volunteer. 2nd hand shops, primary schools & lots of other places seek volunteers.
This is an idea for you to think of.
I'm depressed and know it, For the past 3 days I've slept in my clothes because it's too much bother to get undressed at night and dressed again in the morning. Haven't showered in a week and my hair is dirty.
I don't enjoy life. It sucks with MS. And I'm only using a cane for balance, haven't progressed beyond that.
I completely understand wanting to work but not being physically able to. The key is finding something else that you find value in, and put your energy in to. You won't feel great at first, but as soon as you find something else of value to do ... happiness will return.
Your health is first!
Memory often is a problem, sometimes dure to CCSVI, (blocked or narrowed veins).
St. John's Wort has been proven to help with depression. Health food stores carry it.
Tired of trying the lottery tickets, (waste of money.)
Be careful on the course of your thoughts. Thoughts are very life altering and powerful.
Change your thoughts, change your life!
You got this life challenge, try to assess the reason based on all the other challenges you might of acquired (emotional, financial, physical, mental, impairments and more)
Everyone has something! If we weren't presented with life challenges, how can we really learn a life lesson?
I don't mean to be so harsh but you are in more control of your life then you think!
I pray a lot and always try and maintain a positive person. That is what surprisingly worked for me.
I was dxd'd in 2003 at the age of 38
I have to look to be more positive.
That's the thing. Once you get on disability, it's hard to do anything else since you become afraid to lose the benefits as well. It's hard to live on disability - it's like living on minimum wage.
What sort of volunteer work are you thinking of?
