Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

I told my neurologist that there are times I feel like the mice in a Skinner box, the one with the electric floor grid. BF Skinner used the Skinner box in his conditioning experiments with animals. This particular one created anxiety. In anticipation of a shock, the mice got all hyper exhibiting all the signs of anxiety. When our MS symptoms start acting up, we get the same anticipatory anxiety.
Now when I stop interferons, I still have anxiety so it may be because of my MS as well as the interferons. I know that make mine worse but I think that you are on Tecfedera so it could be from your MS.
I don't seem to tolerate the SSRI drug (Prozac, Zoloft, Serzone, Celexa, etc.). I recent tried an old one called Pamelor with no real affects to report.
The depression is bad lately for some reason. I'll admit it, I'm really upset, bummed out, stressed out and in general, I hate my life and all that this disease has stolen from me.
I feel I have nothing to look forward too but more pain and misery and suffering. Sheesh! Better go back to bed I think! :(
Gentle hugs, Linda
I've had MS for 16 years. I've probably been in secondary progressive that long also. I was 41 when I got the MS. How long have you had MS.
Just curious, why are you still taking Copaxon? The pills are so much easier. I did seem to get more depressed with the injectablies.
Also more Anxious. Sorry I can't spell this early,
Everyone tells us to learn to control stress. Well, how in the world do you do that?? It's everywhere in our lives.
