Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

So, I am extremely tired of being lonely. In fact, I have been on a lonely spell for 13 years. I was never lonely as a teenager or 20's. Then, I missed the entire marriage, raising kids, and getting a higher education degree. Instead I was in the military and got a few diplomas which I am struggling to appreciate. I cannot work and go to college because I get headaches too often. So, I have to sit back and let everyone pass me by in life, while I ponder what I will do the next few days. I have no friends to get coffee with or exercise with. I gained 30 lbs. I am always depressed. Sometimes, I go to the national parks and walk. I like jogging in the winter because it is refreshing. I aim to jog 6 miles next winter. Since I am lonely, I have spent too much on hobbies and the like. I went into mania on a spending spree several weeks ago. I need to save money in case of an emergency. If I can only keep my thoughts together and focus on the purpose of my actions, then I will be doing better. Maybe, slip out of my depression. One day, I am going to have to make decisions that affect the rest of my life. Now, I live with some family members....but, that is not permanent. I always blame my family for the way that I turned out. Afterall, I followed in their footsteps the past 15 years, and I haven't found peace and harmony. I have to focus on what I am doing wrong because evidently I am not always making smart decisions. I think that loneliness effects peoples judgements in a negative way and can spiral into negative decisions. So, stay positive and be smart. Have a nice weekend.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
And if you see anyone out while you're walking, wave and say Hi. Maybe soon, some of these people will become friends. But for now, just smile and say Hi.
Walking is great exercise, and almost everyone can do it. Being outside and in nature and the sun really lifts your mood, too!
I'm sorry that you are in such a lonely place. It's sounds kind of scary too.
You say that you are living with family members temporarily but will have to make some choices about your future. Is that weighing heavy on your mind?
Since you have felt this way for many years, I'm guessing it will take some time to take some steps so that you feel better.
This is a great place for you to be and I am sure that you'll get a lot of support and suggestions herer
