I don't think the issue is really the number of days you have sex. It's more about why you feel like it's not enough, why you think you need more and why you feel you have to prevent something from going on outside your relationship. You have to communicate with your partner. That's an important part of intimacy between you two as well, as important as sex.
I don't know what classifies one as truly being a sex addict. I'd leave that to a therapist to determine. So I hope you see someone to help you navigate through what you're feeling and doing so you know what's healthy and how to get there.

I guess I'm feeling a bit confused about all this since I'm also a newly wed which maybe I should have prefaced from the start but I didn't want that to be the guiding point that people were going off of to make their opinions or advice.
I believe that sex is more apart of intimacy than it isn't. It's just a part of the whole
