Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...

Have you thought about your long term goals in life, how you want to live the rest of your life? Is this the kind of husband you always wanted, always dreamed of?
He has treated you with such disrespect (I remember your other post), and I was just wondering how you felt about the whole thing as far as what you want for YOUR life.
Cheating is a choice. He doesn't have to do it. He has done it so many times, and you are putting your own life at risk, with not only Covid he could bring home, but HIV, he gets someone pregnant, etc. Especially while you are recovering from surgery and you need a sterile environment.
The fact that he was doing this during your surgery was so horrible. Is there a reason why you stay married to such a person?
I had actually already made the decision to leave before I even found this out.
I’m just in disbelief that that’s the story he came up with.
I reckon I was hoping for him to admit it.
But it doesn’t really matter.
I’m finally stepping off.
I know in your other post that you have known him for so long, and he has become "familiar". But that doesn't mean you have to put up with this abuse and flat out disrespect for you. It is this constant slap in your face. You are so much better than this crummy treatment by a guy who is blatantly hurting you over and over and him being such a selfish, mean person. And he thinks you will keep putting up with it.
I know you are strong. You will have a great life. He really has moved on from this marriage. You will move on too. Be strong. Lean on your friends, family, therapist if you have one (would be a good idea to have a therapist).
Get a good divorce attorney. You deserve a lot financially, don't sell yourself short on this. Maybe that's why he is staying around. Because he knows he will have to pay you a ton of money. Oh well...
Life is short, you know? There really is a great life out there ready for you to join it :)
You're going to have a great second half of your life! Good luck and best wishes.
I’m so sorry to hear this. Have you tried professional counselling? You can also talk to a friend you can trust. Praying for you that God will surround you with His peace and things will go well.
How’s your surgery? I hope you are feeling a lot better now. God bless.
We’ve had counseling in the past. In 2012 ( first D day) we came away from it better and stronger. But he goes back to old habits, without any thought for me. I can’t live like this any longer. I can’t believe is been 28 years.
I’m in counseling now.
But I’m unwilling to do couples counseling again. He’s shown me who he is, I can’t change him. Andrew I don’t deserve a partner like that.
I told him I was done and I mean it. It’s sad but I’m ready to move on. I Know that I’ll trade one set of problems for another.
But at least I’ll have my dignity. At least I’ll have the chance at happiness.
I’m resilient. I’m resourceful. I’m strong. I’ll be ok.
And I’ve healed well from surgery. Thank you for asking.
You are going to be just fine. You are not alone. You are going to have a great life. This first part is the hardest, but soon you will be on the other side, and you'll be doing great. You deserve to have a great life!
Keep us posted. Best wishes to you!
