Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
Something clicked recently. And I remember the moment it happened last month. I saw my future and It scared me. My husband has been cheating for our entire relationship... before and during marriage. 28 years. 8 years ago was when it first all came out. Multiple affairs. I was devastated but not surprised. With a lot of counseling and Hard work and facing my own demons, we recovered and were actually better than ever. But then he fell into old patterns. Of course. Contacting women. Flirty messages. Being An emotional support for them. I called him Out and inside I was just dead after that. So tired. But then we just got back into the comfortable rut.
Well, last month he was really shitty to me for no reason. I was recovering from major surgery. I was so hurt that he could treat me like that. A stranger would have shown more kindness. And I realized I couldn't possibly stay in this marriage. I just felt numb. Fast forward two more weeks and turns out he took an ED pill. (I was suspicious so I counted them.) But I'm still recovering from surgery and can't have sex. Sooooo...???? When I discovered, I just laughed. I can't even cry anymore. I mean, that's what he does when things get the tiniest bit bumpy. I Have an appt with my counselor to discuss how to move forward. I'm scared. But I'm done. I deserve more than this. Thank you for listening.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Sounds like you two got together really young. I have seen a lot of couples that got together young, that one ends up straying, seeing what else is out there, that they missed out on something. Doesn't make it right though.
You are still young, in your 40s, think about how you want to live the rest of your life. Is this how you envisioned your life to be. Do you want a partner who is honest, faithful, supportive, there for you, etc.
Part of feeling scared is that he is - familiar. There is a certain level of feeling comfortable around someone after so many years. Even if that person is bad for us.
But, life always changes. You would be completely fine without him. New adventures to have, new people to meet. You would be okay!
And you are absolutely correct. It’s all about staying with what’s familiar. But I’m ready for the uncomfortable. I’m ready to stop feeling so numb.
Thank you!!
