Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
He has cheated on his wife, qualifying him, believe it or not, as a cheater, is a known cheater to you someone whom you really wish to start a loving relationship with?
And I would resist the temptation to call yourself terrible, after all it is he who is doing the cheating and, not you.
"Am I bring naive.... stupid..... both!?" Feeling love for someone isn't stupid, so I would advise you to stop labeling yourself as such, do you label yourself stupid in any other way/s?
"I am a die hard romantic and am I just letting that cloud my judgement?" Maybe, but even if so then that be a good thing.
"I don't trust my own instinct anymore. I go from one extreme to the other!!" You should never stop trusting your instincts, even though they fluctuate they will never steer you wrong in the current moment.
"I do know that I love him with all my heart but I am not cut out to be "the other woman"!!" Now you are thinking logically, or according to your instincts.
Personally I would never feel comfortable being in a relationship with someone whom I know is a cheater, cheaters invariably blame someone else instead of themselves for the reason why THEY are.
You can go with your heart if he allows you to, but be prepared for the consequences whatever they may be.
The ex cheated on his first wife, he cheated many times while we were married. He's cheated on his new wife and he told her he was single.
What this man is doing to his wife he will do to you.
he would just shrugged it off with zero explanation. I cant believe I allowed him to do this to me another few more times! I kept finding excuses for him when he was just stringing me along to see how little crumples I'm willing to take. He finally ended the relationship by whinning to his wife like a baby when i slapped him the last time he stood me up, his wife had to call me up to break up with him!
My H strung his affair partner along for y e a r s. Once I discovered his A, I told him many times that if she made him happier than I did, he should leave and go to her. He never left.
You can continue with things the way they are and waste more of your life in a fun but dead end
relationship. You can move on to someone who is actually available. Or you could tell his wife to speed things along. The choice is yours.
I am only telling you this so you will see the other perspective. I don't have a lot of hope for you in a relationship where he keeps needing more time to leave. Why? If he never got over you and wants to be with you he should do it now! Why does he get to have his family and you on the side? Good luck to you!!
Good luck to you....I am glad your ex is your ex. Sounds like a jerk!
Middle, it may seem that u'd lost many years, but tell yourself this: from now on, we gain each day for ourselves better than ever. From now on, we are both darkness and light, for we experienced clarity no others can fathom. Accept the pain and the light from the fire they set upon us. We should be grateful that we are no longer living in the lies of others. Getting through the denial and grieve stages are tough but brighter days are ahead as long as they are out of our lives!
