Been married for 20 years. About 1.5 years ago i found out my wife had been texting a male non stop for several weeks. Claims nothing happen and said it was over, I forgave and moved on. About a month ago I found over 20 dating profiles of my wife online as well as chat transcripts where she exchanged nude pics and sex chat. I confronted her, told her I had the info and I just wanted the truth. She lied and denied it all. I slapped the proof in front of her, she admited it and claimed nothing happen beyond what i found. Just a big mistake and it does not count because it was not real, virtual sex she says. Her story is that she made a mistake and it will never happen again but that I am overreacting. I can't say for certain that she had an affair but the proof shows it was headed in that direction. I can't stand a liar and yes I went balistic on her. Is this a overrreaction? Thanks for the feedback.

My best friend ruined my day with her immature, bitchy self. If she doesn't get her way, she has a tizzy fit. I told her weeks ago that I couildn't go to yard sales with her on 9/12 because i have a hair appointment. She wasn't happy. I also told her that I don't have any money to go to yard sales. She tried to talk me into going to more yard sales by saying that if I don't go, there...

The Friday before Labor Day just before we left, the options given to me basically were either quit of be fired, and if I were to stay on I were to be put on an improvement plan, which is pretty much synonymous with getting fired. I was going to do the improvement plan and just ride it out until I found another job due to money and due to the fact that I did not want to quit without another job....

I would suggest you two go to a marriage counselor. Try to get to the bottom of why she is doing this.
I don't think anything she says to you now will be a valid excuse. She had no right to do what she did. I think a counselor could straighten this out. You could go to individual counseling as well, to help deal with your feelings about all of this.
Now, do you work? do you take pride in your work? Do you stay healthy? Do you have healthy habits and hobbies?
Are you taking care of your soul, morals and spirit?
She choose to step that is on her. But you have to love her from a place that you are not afraid to lose her.
You have to focus on your own self and the be the best person you can be.
That includes helping your wife be the best person she can be, and being supportive.
Yes, the odds are she will do it all again in the future but that is on her not you.
You have to ensure you are doing healthy happy things and not failing yourself.
I pray you are healthy and safe.
GirlinCalif- Other than getting caught and scared to death that I am going to leave her, I really see no remorse.
I am so so sorry. This is exactly what I went through. My ex was such a manipulative liar she had me convince I was wrong and I felt bad for even trying to discuss her suspected infidelity.
It wasn’t until cornered with actual evidence and a divorce lawyers card on the table that she caved and told me the truth, that she had been banging a coworker every-which-way for months upon months.
I wish I could say cut and run and save your sanity, but I don’t know your situation enough to give that advice. I actually tried to work things out, twice...went to counseling. In the end though she insisted she wanted to be my wife, I was not capable of believing her.
The best advice I can give you is document everything. Take screen shots, print things out, save things on a private drive she doesn’t have access to. Not only will it be easier to ascertain the scope of the cheating, but down the road it may be relevant in divorce proceedings.
Lastly talk to a lawyer, protect yourself. If she lies to your face, who knows what she is capable of lying about.
