It helps me under my arms. I have never tried it under my breasts. However I am having a lot of pain there so I might try it there as well.

Any suggestions on how to get sores in armpits to heal up...going on 6 months with outbreak in left armpit and small outbreak in right. I'm trying a benzoyl peroxide at 2.5%. I'm on 500 mg tetracycline twice a day. Anything with adhesive makes me break out or peels up layers of skin and leaves ginormous sores (like I need any more problems)...

Do you use the Dove when you have an open outbreak?

I don't use Dove deodorant. It causes me to break out just as bad as all the others. What I DO use is the Crystal Deodorant. I have to apply it at least twice a day, as I am a heavy sweater, but it doesn't cause me to break out like I do with all other deodorants.
I have tried a wide range of "sensitive skin" deodorants, and they all seem to cause the same reaction in me. I would not recommend using them on open sores, though. Wait until you have no open sores, then try it and see what happens. I'd really like to know how it goes for you. Best of luck!

I don't use it on open sores. If you look on the label of pretty much any deodorant it says not to use on broken skin. I only have on small sore in my left armpit right now, and I have been using deodorant there, just being careful not to apply it to the area immediately around it.

I've been using Dove deodorant for some time now, and I don't have flares in my armpits anymore. They have just migrated to other areas..but I think I"m going to try it on the bad areas and see what happens. At least I won't stink!...lol.

Can't get healed enough to try started tumeric, benozyl peroxide 10% and tetracycline within last two weeks. Not much improvement, yet..

So I thought I'd update this.

I went ahead and started using it on my armpits, and my right one is pretty much completely healed. It hasn't been this good in over a year.

My left one is taking its sweet time, but I think that's because I've had sores there for a few years now (much longer than in my right armpit), so it needs more time to heal. It's getting better, though. A small hole I've had for the last few months suddenly closed up a few days ago.

And my breasts are still all right. I get some small bumps once in a while, but applying the deodorant to them seems to help them go away.

So I do have to say this is working well, at least for me.

I have always used Dove deodorant but this past year I got a major flare up in my arm pits and couldn't use any deodorant at all. A friend of mine suggested I try a Crystal stone. That thing is AMAZING and I will never go back to regular deodorant! 1 stick lasts a full year and it doesn't smell at all! Love love love it!

We recommend using talcum powder with zinc oxide. It works great, is more natural and if that is done you liqueos balls and not have to use bandages. I use gold bond baby powder. Do not use deodorants with aluminum, my dermatologist does not recommend, you can use crystal deodorant.

I always used dove. Pre hs and during hs. I tried the crystal and it doesn't work as far as covering my stinky sweaty smell. I feel like it makes it worse! I've been using degree under my arm that hasn't been affected by hs and using desitin under the arm that has. Sometimes I will put a dab of degree on my arm, not under it, if I know I'm gonna be sweating. The desitin has closed one of the little holes there and I'm really happy about that. 1 down, 2 more to go! I don't believe the deodorant caused this. I believe friction from my bra caused it. My right boob is smaller than my left and my bra on the right side rides up and the underwire pressed right where my cyst under mu arm is.is. my left boob is the biggest and where my underwire aggravates it is an hs spot. The worst spot on my bottom is from where my panties and jeans rub. I see no difference with food, shaving, or deodorant. I do see a difference with stress, my cycle, and tight clothing. Again, I think everyone is different. Hugs to everyone.

I've tried the Crystal deodorant. It only accomplished some nasty stinging if I accidentally got it anywhere near an open sore.

I did get a bump yesterday on the underside of my bottom. Put a little deodorant on it, and this morning it seems smaller and hurts less.

I also find that diet doesn't seem to make any difference. I haven't tried shaving at all, but a lot of my underarm hair doesn't even grow back anymore so I almost don't need to. My main culprit is definitely skin irritation from clothing.
