Go about your life (hobbies ect) .I my self have a really hard time meeting women it is either feast or famine it would seem that famine can last for years.

Mary sometimes you do have to make the move, no matter how much the dude wants your ass he may fear rejection be too shy to ask, or afraid he'll be laughed at when you get together with other women & talk about him.

Don't wear anything that resembles a weddin ring or promise ring on the wedding finger either that may detour possible suitors...

Hi Cowboy. I don't gossip even to lady friends. Just never got the habit. Mr NO Fat Chicks knows I'm not nosy either. He said he appreciated that from me. The other day he was kidding me about a sexy Mrs Santa outfit. We just spar a bit and he has never made a move to whisper in my ear or anything. He isn't shy either. Another day he commented on how he made me blush which is rare! I hardly ever blush. I'm wondering if he is afraid to let down his guard?
I do have a wedding ring but only wear it on my right hand when I do wear it. I try not to confuse anyone.

When I was in high school, I had very few dates. I was one of the class "brains" back in the day when intelligence was considered unattractive in females. I also struggled with weight. My father was a minister and that scared the guys, too! I think I was perceived as too "powerful" or perhaps a better word is "intimidating".

I was shocked when someone told me they knew of FIVE guys who liked me! Not that it mattered, as they still didn't make a move. I don't even know who they were! I like this saying, "For every girl who is crying because the phone never rings, there is a guy (or 5 of them) whose hands are shaking too badly to dial the phone."

mary....I would say wearing a wedding ring on either hand or any finger might confuse a lot of guys

sbnj--I tried on my ring this morning and it was too tight to wear right now so put it back in the box. I only have on a birthstone on right hand today.
I'll keep all the advice in mind and just hope I get more action one of these days.

I wear rings on my wedding ring finger. It's never stopped a guy from talking to me or asking me on a date.
I don't think rings or clothes make people want others more or less or confuse people.
I will say this again - stay away from mr no fat chicks. Stop wondering what he is thinking. Stop falling into his teases. Rid yourself of him. That might be your first start

I also think if you stop looking then it finds you. But you can't just say. Ok I have stopped looking and hope that it finds you. You have to completely stop caring if there is someone out there for you.

Have you considered dating websites ? I'm sure there are a lot of creeps on there so i would always meet them for the first couple of
times in public. Email or talk on the phone a few times before you meet.
At least you know men on the sites are looking also.

One of my best friends met his wife on a site. I dont know how common
it is , but it does happen. I have met several friends on DS [ I know this
isnt for dating , but just saying there are good people out there].
If I lived closer, I would definitely like to meet them in person.

Men definitely vary in what they like physically in the opposite sex
just like women do. Good thing for me because I'm 5 ft 9 in. If all women liked only tall men I'd be screwed . Yea , its my arm in the pic so i'm athletic but nothing on earth could make me tall.

PPL have said things about a wedding ring ect. stopping men from talking to them ,.
A ring has never stopped me from talking to a woman I'll talk to almost anyone.
But a wedding ring would stop me from asking a lady on a date
out of respect for what the ring stands for.. & respect for her & her HUSBAND.. There's been ppl serious problems for ppl asking married ppl out
on dates..
So if you're wearing something that symbolise how is someone supposed to safely assume your not attached?

I never wear that ring on my left hand. If I do wear one it is a shell or cameo. No one could mistake it. There are so many married women in this area who wear no wedding ring.
Mr No Fat Chicks does tease me and we laugh. When his son had an accident, he was the one who wanted to talk. Today he talked about his grandkids. He is a friend and I don't want to lose that.

I have not cut out anyone (man) who would want to be more than a friend either. Another male friend stopped by today but there is a good reason I want to keep him at arms length.

Mary, take a moment to check your appearance and see what you look like. It may well be a usual stance that is comfortable to you that might be sending conflicting signals to people.

I had to do this for my anxiety, and it was with effort I was able to release the tensed muscles from affecting my appearance.

Also, keep a short list of neutral topics to converse with that you have practiced in front of the mirror to see how your appearance is.
