Ladies I've seen it before on here so I know size doesn't matter. yep, I understand that. But truly if you're dating a new guy and he is small when you first undo his pants or get with him or feel him up do you inwardly cringe? Are you truthfully hoping it's going to be big in your mind or at least you're hoping it's not going to be small? And how about when he's flaccid? If he's like an acorn until he springs up is that a bother? Isn't it more exciting to you when you're laying around or playing that he has something swinging around as opposed to something that's a nub? I have to think that yes it's important to know what to do with what you have but psychologically speaking there has to be an added element to having a man that's decently endowed. There's a reason that men and women are attracted to longer, larger penises in porn and in real life. For women it just seems like it wouuld be more fun and fulfilling. If it's small then there'd always be some uneasiness in my mind. For reproduction, a longer penis may have better odds of impregnating a woman. Doesn't the woman naturally draw towards men with longer or bigger penises just like many are drawn to stronger, more confident, more athletic men? I have to believe you all when you say it doesn't matter so much but also I think that there is something to what I'm saying. I've read many an article that shows women do actually prefer a bigger penis for their enjoyment, truthfully, not some dumb enlargement pill ad. Sure there are exceptions to this but overall I think it has to be true. If the average is about 6 inches and the circumference is about 4 inches, that's an average. That means every other guy could be about 7-8 inches while the others could be 4-5 inches. Aren't you hoping that it's a little better than average? Or am I wrong about this truthfully? Is it like a guy comparing breast sizes? Some want big while others don't care? What's your take on all this please?

I hate to say this, but its true that all women have an "average" depth too so take that for whats its worth! AND its been proven that as far as the vagina opening (not including all other areas) Is only sensative for the first 2 to 2.5 inches!

Anyway, I still don't know how to measure. Yeah, I get that you measure TO the tip, but FROM where? Fold it down perpendicular to your body and measure that way? Because if you measure when straight up, you could "cheat" and add an inch or two by measuring part of the rigid structure that the testies are in. And the numbers most men seem to throw around seem exaggerated.

I don't know. One of you experienced ladies is just going to need to measure me.

Thanks for all the replies. Thank you for taking me seroiusly enough to answer appropriately. It's a difficult subject for men or at least most men. I think that though there is nothing that can be done realisticly about penis size at least it's good to know where you stand in comparison and in the eyes of a woman. I agree that it's what you do with it that matters and though there are women that like a longer or bigger one for certain reasons it's encouraging to know that there are women who are content with average or even less than. I guess this all came about when my girlfriend of three years dumped me a couple of years ago and i read some of her messages to her new lover that was all about how big he was and how much she loved it. It was very graphic and she talked about things she never talked about with me. And she did things with him that never even entered the equation in our relationship. She was actually one I thought I'd marry so I was quite shocked to learn of all this. And then to read about stuff that I didn't possess or we never did was really hard to get over. I don't think I actually have ever gotten over it really. A major blow to the ego. So since then I haven't been seeking women much and if so I sure worry about what will happen if we and when I get with a woman again. But thanks all and I'll keep reading if anyone has any more input.

To Lost. Yes, women come in averages too (the same as men) but there are exceptions. I wouldn't say it's the depth of the vagina that matters as much as the tightness. Gotta keep those muscles in shape, vaginal muscles lose strength the same as every other muscle in your body loses strength if not worked. Doing kegels every day or multiple times a day keeps everything in tip top shape and can prevent other problems as women age, incontinence, vaginal prolapse, etc.

The most sensitive areas of the vagina is just the first couple inches but there are good sensations a woman can feel deeper than those 2 inches.

I think more women then men think, actually care about penis size. Statistically, it's like 10 percent of women desire a certain length. Being sexually compatible can be an issue in a relationship! I was actually dumped by a woman once because of it and although I was devastated back then, I wouldn't be now because I except who I am and what I was born with.

There is a sergery you can get which will add an inch or two but it is quite costly, and painful and doesn't interest me but each to his own I guess :)

Too much emphasis placed on size! I have a friend w/ an abnormally large member. A woman he was with, reported that "he f'd like a college boy" and was a lousy lover! She was sore the next day! Not good.

To Ray: I'm not a guy but I can speak for my partner. He has very good control and cums when he, I or we want him to cum. Besides when we're in the mood for a wham-bam-thank you ma'am/sir, "fuck me NOW" kind of mood, we're not all about rushing to intercourse. There are many times we don't have intercourse, we do a lot of other things instead. On the average, our sex sessions last at the minimum an hour, usually longer. At times he cums sooner because he, I or we want him to, our sex doesn't end with him getting off, there's still a lot of fun to be had.

Lost, let me go get the yardstick so I can measure and see what average is.. What is the average depth? And when I measure, do I stop at the "ouch" point or just when the yardstick stops comfortably?

Well we seem to talk a lot about penis size here and no one ever mentions that all women are differant depths and tightness and when it really comes down to it, it is all personal choice.

I assume i am in the average catigory, but I have never had an unsatisfied partner so it works well for me. :)
