It was some brainless dimwit visiting the shelter saying all pits should be put down and not put up for adoption, he said just kill them as soon as they come in. Yes, he got some shit from me and from one of the shelter workers. This was as I was in the dog yard at the shelter playing with 2 pits and being licked to death by them. My grand-dog is a pit, a true lover who is also used as a therapy dog.

I call those people who hate pit bulls "pit bull nutters"

Mama leather, that's the misconception people have with pit bulls, they think they are naturally aggressive, but animals are only as aggressive as those who have taught them that behavior. Like I could teach a shitzu to be aggressive if I wanted to then with enough of them being that way people would generally assume all were like that.

Played NBA Jam on my SNES emulator. Keyboard sucks for this game, but I still won as Chicago against Dallas 63-61 in overtime. Haven't played this game since I was a kid, so it felt good to win not havin played it in over 10 years.

it has been a busy busy day! state exam for CNA this morning (actually feel pretty good about it. not great. but pretty good), lunch for my bday with my bestie, taekwondo for my daughter, and lots and lots and lots of cleaning for our craft party tomorrow! so far i have a little over 20 kids rsvp-ed! sadly, i think i am just as excited about it as my kids!

oh...and i hit up cirillas today and picked up a new toy and movie for hubs and i. he doesnt know yet. shhhhhhh.

Been browsing ROMS to download for my Gameboy Advance and SNES emulators. Good stuff.

i just spent the past 6 hours with my house packed full of kiddos! literally! there were over 20 of them! we had sooooooo much fun. My house is a mess again, but that is okay. it makes me happy to know that my kids can look back on these craft parties and realize how much effort their mom put in to make sure they were happy!

we painted mini flower pots and i put a little piece of foam in the bottom and cut some fake silk flowers for them to stick in. they also made tons and tons and tons of bracelets out of pipe cleaners and pony beads!

we went through 2 gluten free pizzas and 2 regular pizzas, lots of popcorn, and then another mom showed up with a giant thing of cubed watermelon!

my 7 year old daughter is now passed out with her head resting on my hip and my son is fighting sleep. i just turned on his favorite movie and i am going to go take a bath. i am pretty sure he will be asleep by the time i am out.
