She cannot report it as there's no evidence to back up her claims.
And it sounds like she is going to let him get away with it as well.
There needs to be counseling and closure so when there is sex with someone else, there will not be flash backs and fear.
I was raped also when I was 16, not by a stranger on the street thankfully ...
What helped me move on was accepting accountability for the situation. I didn't deserve to be raped, but if I made better choices, it probably wouldn't have happened.
Assuming some possibly of control over the situation made me feel less like a victim and more like a survivor of a very unfortunate event.
I am taking responsibility for it. Maybe a bit too much.. it's bordering on self-blame, but I try to pull myself up to regain balance.
Today I had found the courage to face him, but I had to ask a guy friend of mine to come with me - just couldn't face him by myself.
He works in a local shop, and he served me. I couldn't even look at him, but I managed to keep my s*** together. Only when I was leaving, I felt like I was about to pass out. Thank god my friend was there, he was so supportive. I want to be able to visit the shop with confidence. Who knows however long that will take, but I must overcome this terror.
