Healthy Relationships Support Group
No relationship is perfect. A long-term relationship requires constant effort to understand each other, fix misunderstandings, solve problems and continue to grow as both individuals change and evolve. How we deal with our misunderstandings is the focus of this community. Join us to find support, get advice, and share your experience with your relationship.
Kiss first! If there's electricity in the kiss, you can bet there will be the impetus of excitement to move the relationship forward despite possibly differing religious views. Jesus wants us to experience sexual magic and go at it like rabbits, in marital wedlock!
Ok
So when two people are dating do they put their own code put there,
Ahhhhh
Reality is that regardless of from where ones moral code comes from
-often is not put out on the open
- and often "we" hold the person we are dating up to this code but maybe not "ourselves" which is purely not put out there
Being honest about morality is the bigger issue
I think with respect to.what the OP posted, be honest with yourself about what you believe, what you hold sacred, whatever it may be. Get right with yourself first and foremost. Be comfortable and at peace in your own mind, body and spirit. I thonk that may help ease your anxiet and feeling conflicted.
Since when are the only options with dating either hunting for a spouse or hunting for casual sex? There's a whole spectrum in between.that I think doesn't require so much pressure. Maybe it can simpley be getting to know another person, regardless of where it may lead.
I think that a person can have a different basis for a value system but I am leary of people that see themselves as bigger than a fundemenral set of right and wrong
And I don't see how any of southern livings comments warrant being called a bible thumper
Me personally, I don't think two single people having sex with each who do not have immediate plans to spend their lives together other means that they're going to burn in hell.
And yeah I didn't get the bible thumper comment either. I think it has been a pretty well rounded discussion actually.
The trick in relationships is to find someone whose worldview matches yours. Because we differ so much in the details, we need to date to get to know the details of the person. Not to mention we are usually going through massive hormone surges that make us overlook the other person's faults...it takes time to get through that and actually understand someone.
