Hello... so I have been in this relationship with this guy for about 6 months. He is great all around; I really appreciate and value him and he does so for me as well. Things are going great! He even moved to the same town as me recently. The problem is me... I let stupid little things get to me, I blow them out of proportion and then I let my insecurities play a bigger part in this whole internalization process which just worsens my anxiety. I over analyze and overwhelm myself and because of my insecurities, i always lead myself to the thought that hes gonna come to realization that he could do better and leave me... I dont know why i keep letting my thoughts go to a place where i begin to question everything, despite the evidence that is presented to me on a daily... I dont know if this makes sense, but I would greatly appreciate some comfort and reassurance...

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

What has he done so far to make you feel insecure ?
I also worry about everything all the time , but I have been in relationship where things were normal and when everything is right, there should be no anxiety at all.
Usually anxiety sets in when a person starts acting inconsistently with what he says.
For example - a guy tells you that he can't see you today because he is not feeling well and then you find out that he is off doing something else .
born, it's so great to be in a relationship where you feel understood. And I'm certain that you are certain that your friend is aware of how you feel. Could your reactions to personal insecurities surface out of previous disappointments with others? If so, I can identify with what you tell. There are many situations of which may cause sad things to happen & then it's easy to think of a comeback or simply retreat in protracted silence...&, too, we are all looking for the best ways to identify a calm & thoughtful way to handle unsettling matters.
One suggestion is to dig deep into your thoughts for answers. And even shake-up your spiritual self for certain self-doubts or vulnerabilities. I consider that you only need the humble side of you to come forth. And this is where you learn to respect yourself. I mean, you've probably been exposed to low-level behaviors of others & this is the point where controlling fears & doubts develop. I'd begin to write out a list of those traits your friend has in which you understand how important it is that he values you & double-check your notes during those times where you internalize your fears. It is clear that your friend wants to be the best for you so you deserve the best comfort & reassurance one can get. Be proud of the good side of you, and perhaps those silly little annoyances will not dim the glow of the better part of your modest & sincere self.

i know the things i need to do to help my mental health, but it is really hard to break the habit of thinking worthless, undeserving and nothing that you do is good enough... part of me knows that I'm a good person and that I'm worth it, but unfortunately a bigger part of me believes the opposite and that part of me unfortunately is louder and stronger, so i believe it... and even though other, especially those closest to me, reassure me otherwise, its easier to believe my louder and stronger voice :/
I would try and get into some type of cognitive therapy for a bit if you're able... It can help with changing some of the thinking patterns that are hurting you
It seems like you have some good insight and that's a great start.... Big hug....xo
