Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I had one made at a foam place last time. cheaper and choices of foam types.
Hiatal hernias are pretty common. Not even one gets heartburn from them. They are the lucky ones!
Once you get this under control, it wont be the focus in your life anymore. It just takes time to get to a good place.
(I don't like to eat then do stuff, rather just eat in peace, so on busier days I'll just milk the therapeutic feeling of hunger instead of eating).

But in the past I could barely eat 300 calories a meal and during my peak would find it a battle to eat a piece of toast! and sipping water was awful as well. Now I usually drink between 40 to 80 oz of water a day.
"It is not unusual to have rebound acid secretion and symptoms immediately after stopping Omeprazole. Please take OTC Zantac or Pepcid for 1-2 weeks and then stop and see if this recurs. It should get better in 1-2 weeks."
fusion..A HH really just gives you reflux and or heartburn but heartburn that can become gastritis if the heartburn has not been managed well. You could also have gastritis just from stress/anxiety and some bad habits over many years.
A small HH you are not usually aware of. ie you shouldnt feel the stomach up higher etc..
Sleeping on your side on the 7inch may still be an issue with your back. See how it goes. My chiro told me not to do that if I can. So did the osteo. Back is out of alignment propped up on your side and it may affect the sacrum/SI joint. A higher wedge for sure would cause a problem as Karadura is finding.
I just stay on my back until early morning then lie out. No problems for me with my back.
BLH.. If you sleep on the left side the stomach apparently drops down and moves farther away from the esophagus. Reducing the chances of reflux.
Yes anxiety/stress trauma are the number one causes of gastritis. Just not for me. I am totally laid back about life.
What are your thoughts - wonder if I am not helping myself taking it for high blood pressure but not helping the old tum out.
