weather and where do you live ?

Good morning Monday to all my Fibro friends-

Hope you all enjoyed Mother's Day weekend - whether you stayed in or celebrated with your loved ones.

I read and depend on your posts everyday and wondered where you all live.

I live in Mission Viejo (South Orange County) , California.

I wondered about where you live because the weather definitely affects my body. We have a lot of heat here but when it's cold and damp, my body gets so much worse.

I told my rheumatologist that I am like a weather barometer and my body can tell when the weather is going to change. She said, "yep, another sign of true fibromyalgia".

Anyone else? I would love to picture where you live as I read your posts.

PJ - I live almost all of the way across the United States from you as I live in what is called the Piedmont area of North Carolina about 25 miles northwest of Charlotte.

I, too, am a weather barometer & can usually tell about 24 hour ahead of time when a weather change is coming.

Cold & damp weather is my worst friend or enemy (take your pick) too.

I live in Northen Ontario Canada, where the winters are cold and we jump from Winter to Summer with no Spring.

I can tell when damp weather is to come before I even check the weather forecast. I hurt the most on damp rainy cold days.

Hi. I am from the middle of Wisconsin, USA. The worst weather for my fibro is cold/snow, or heat/humidity...both of which we have here. Any dampness, and I am in agony.

Today I'm really hurting, and starting tomorrow, we are supposed to get 3 days of rain. So it goes....

Hey, i am in upper michigan on the michigan/wisconsin border :) The weather here affects me a lot, too hot or too cold, humidity, rain , i lived in california in hayward for 6 months in 2008 and got married, was in less pain, but was suicidal most of the time i was so depressed being away from my family :( So moved back here my husband had brought me home :) I can tell you now, the forcast does not call for rain but its going to tomorrow i just know it! Nothing beats the beauty of nature here! An hour away from escanaba which is our biggest city that close LOL

I'm from near Duluth MN on the eastern tip of Lake Superior. Like CanadianQueen, we have cold winters that can jump straight into summer (hopefully). If the winds come off the lake, the temps drop quickly and it becomes damp...that's when I have my biggest pain problems.

Aloha!

I live in Hawaii on an island called Oahu. I used to live on the sunny side of the island but after getting married my husband moved us to the rainy side. If it's not sticky humid, we have howling winds where the rain feels like it goes to my bones. I did much better on the other side, where the sun was always out and I could go swim at the beach any time I pleased (which helped the fibro).
Luckily we are moving this month to the island of Maui and I'm very excited (though tired from running around) and hoping the weather at the new place is a little sunnier. Looking forward to a new adventure!

I'm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and like Bear way up top? (And not that far south of me in real life)... I can tell the weather waaaay better than The Weather Channel or NOAA.

Humidity when it's hot kills me. Just... down I go. Summer is awful for me. And a strong front coming in (like a tropical low or a bad cold front)? My scarring acts up atop the fibro. Ratpure! Not!

I think the heat-humid combo gets me b/c I was raised where we did *not* get that and my body just has no idea what to do about it. THat said, winters are mild and it's wonderful, b/c the ones up home? Yeeeeowch. Killer cold, killer snow. I'll take the three months of sauna over the six months of winter up there.

Don't you just wish we all lived in AZ where weather is warm and dry and steady. Mn and sometimes I think it is killing me.

I live in Louisiana and the winters are mild. But when the storms come, the humidity is unbelievable and so is the pain. Because we have mild winters, it can be Dec and be 80 degrees with a high humidity. The time of year does not matter.

My body is happy at about 76.5 degrees !!! Too hot, too cold, too damp, too humid = too bad for me :) oh well.

I guess we are fellow weather barometers, at least I'm in good company.

I live in Ohio....dark, damp, cold and rainy right now. It takes forever for spring to come on and then gets very hot and humid in summer. I told my husband to hang my on the wall and I could be his barometer...I never fail.
good weather and good luck to all of you. I have been a reader of the post for a little over 5 years and enjoy reading about everyone and it does help to know I'm not the only one with this crazy condition !

I live in southern NH. The weather is nice from late spring to early fall...winters are brutal, between the cold and the sleep lost from leaving really early to drive anywhere in bad weather. Even the beginning of spring and the end of fall are just an extension of winter. Really humid days get to me sometimes but the cold is the worst

I live in Connecticut. We just got through 8 straight days of rain. Finally, on Mother's Day afternoon, the sun peeked out just for us Mothers! We are lucky to have all four seasons. Like most of you, if it is cold, rainy or humid, I ache more. A sunny, dry day is the best.

My daughter lives in Montana where it is mostly dry. When I visit her, I have found that I do not ache as much.

    Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

    Well, our drought isn't broken but our gutter is. Got two big storms rigth after each other and, wait for it, a tornado warning.Now, I was already running for my go-bag when I heard thunder. The air felt wrong. The sky was getting  a color to the west. Been there, lived that, time to hide.No  funnel touched down but the radar indicated rotation, and boy was it visible from the ground.
