Hey, all, a quick drive-by today as I boil down onions, herbs, etc., for more vile concoctions. The strep is losing ground, but I think it's because it knows in 10 days I'll have real insurance. I can't shake the feelign my being among the great unlucky affected whether or not I got antibiotics. Which are cheap, but the walk-in clinic is regulated by some pretty bizarre funding rules, and that probably influences the care they give. More I think about it, more I wonder, y'know?
Anyway, yes, thes econcoctions are *horrible*, but my voice is back, my throat only hurts a little, and my ears stopped ringing and aching, and my fever stayed gone for 24 straight hours. I take that as hope.
Sorry I can't do more, I'm just going back to bed. The fibro decided to live in my right shoulder to the point I couldn't sleep, and I'm staggering. After I choke down my dose. Salute to my late grandma, this seems to be working, but when I get insured? First stop, doctor! Already have an appointment with an actual MD for first friday in April. :-)
Warm kitten purrs and puppy cuddles to all

Well, our drought isn't broken but our gutter is. Got two big storms rigth after each other and, wait for it, a tornado warning. Now, I was already running for my go-bag when I heard thunder. The air felt wrong. The sky was getting a color to the west. Been there, lived that, time to hide.No funnel touched down but the radar indicated rotation, and boy was it visible from the ground. Different...

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...
Don't know if I've ever tried kale and blueberries... but I've seen a few delis here offer a pineapple kale salad, it's pretty good. Don't know if that will cure a cold, though, never eaten it while sick. lol
Leo, the horseradish concoction sounds hilarious
Twin, Addison and the dog sounds really cute. I hope your new meds bring you some relief. Yes, it's been a package deal and it's exhausting. I hope you can find little moments of renewing energy here and there. And I hope your weekend will be relaxing too.
Angela, gosh wish your mom would pick up your steroids already :(
Autumn, rolling over and staring at the clock all night is just awful, yeah? I hope your body will give you some rest tonight. I can't remember if you said you've tried OTC sleep aids.
Fantod, the picture of your partner's mess plus his gripes made me laugh out loud. Maybe because it's too much like my sloppy husband and how bad he was griping las summer during projects (like the catio). BUT! They're usually proud of their work once it's done. Good luck in the meantime and I hope it goes smoother than predicted. Also I hope the flippin creatures stay away for good. Sheesh.
Chelsea, prayers of peace and comfort for you. Sorry for all the losses. Hope your baby feels better soon.
Wonder, ignoring the phone is a great idea. I should do that more often lol. Thanks for the comments, btw. Gut is still upset.
Blue I am so sorry for all you are going through hon. It was a good idea to cancel. You have to take care of you. The rest will come at the right time.
Wonder I ignore my phone 90% of the time. If it isn't a doctor, family or something I am expecting I refuse to let it take up my energy.
Chelsea I am praying for peace for you. I am sorry that you are dealing with so much loss.
Fantod critters are never fun or easy to get rid of. I hope that what you are doing takes care of the problem.
Thanks blue it is nice to know I am not the only one that wants to throw my clock out the window. My clock doesn't make any noise but is lit. If I turn it so I can't see it then I have to reach over and turn it so I can, it's an OCD thing. Same as in having to turn lights off or checking to see if door I just locked is locked. It doesn't make any sense but nothing does most of the time.
Well my hands handled sewing for about 5 minutes before they cramped up and the pulling is so bad that my fingers are almost laying sideways to my hands. I have an appt. next week with the rheumatologist and I am going to scream if that is what it takes. This is crippling me and she needs to get that point. I am at my wits end. What am I supposed to do when I can't use my hands at all, sit and drool? Sorry for the rant I am just so overwhelmed with the pain and crippling I can't stand it.
I hope you all have a great weekend. Blessed be.
Mimi I'm sorry spinning and stairs aren't giving you the same feeling as running. I understand entirely. I have actually considered trying after reading a few articles by runners with fibro. I can't help but wonder if that feeling would actually outweigh the damage being done by feeling so horribly mentally. I have gained weight and feel like I've lost my life anf am getting depressed since this all happened and I want my life, confidence, and happiness back.
I hope you get to enjoy the dress rehearsal this evening Bball. My hands have stayed swollen since the fibro started and eating dairy makes it significantly worse. Thank you for the advice yesterday.
Twin I'm so glad the new puppies are bringing you so much extra joy!
Angela I'm so sorry that you're hurting and that your Mom hasn't gotten your meds. I hope the freezing rain has stopped so you can get to your appointment. Stay warm, sending gentle hugs.
Autumn I'm glad to hear you are getting back to your sewing hopefully! I'm hoping to do the same this weekend although I'm pretty new to sewing so it takes a bit more brain power so we'll have to see.
Fantod I'm sorry your knee is giving you so much trouble. Is there anything else they can do to help ease the pain. And is there any chance your partner would hold off even just a week or two to let you recoup some?
Chelsea I'm sorry to hear about all the loss you are dealing with. Sending prayers your way.
Wonder it is so great to hear about how in love with baking you are. My heart does the same at the library or any book store. They have always been the best escape!
As for me, I am so thankful for all of you. When I started my replies to everyone I was pretty upset but hearing the little moments of happiness and supporting the moments of pain has brought me to a place of peace. A.k.a. got me out of my own pitty party. I am cincerned that i am starting to struggle with depression again. Hopefully the increase in lyrica will help meanwhile I am grateful to have this group. Thank you all.
Thank you all for the prayers. It has been a really upsetting week... and i can't go to any ofthe funerals bc of kids and it being an hour away... :(
I hope everyone else has a better day! I'm off to eat and then go to the store to get meds...
