Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).
AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New England and eastern C anada, better. Iceland and Greenland, way better. But hthe UK is the hot spot, with Ireland.
Back to no solid foods here, so oh well. Maybe tomorrow? Try try again.

I managed to get some food into Haco last night, and this morning he's eating normally. I was worried he might still be a little off when I got up, but 30 minutes later Skadi was growling at him...if he's pissing her off, he's fine. Unfortunately he bit my finger while he was going under...not intentionally, and not badly even, but it's definitely infected -_-. I started antibiotics yesterday afternoon, and my finger looks better but my stomach is not happy. I've already been feeling off all week and even the temperature going down a bit hasn't helped. A busy day with Karen is not what I need right now.
My second favorite place to watch them was from Barking Sands Beach (at the missile test range in Kauai). There was nothing around for miles and the sky was good and black.
Baby Girl has got acid reflux, which is a common problem with preemies. She reached full term one and a half weeks ago, so she is the size of a newborn now, BUT it can take up to a year to grow out of the reflux. In the meantime, she spat up all over me at 4 am after I fed her, and it took an hour to get her settled down and back to sleep. I hope to squeeze a nap in at some point today.
