Essential oil overdose

Let me start by trying to say that I have been trying to please everyone as of late, when it comes to my fibromyalgia. I haven't told you guys, but this is what I've been doing because of all of the pressure. 



I am taking hubby's employer's magic juice, doing acupuncture, their oil rubs and herb teas, and now the latest: a magic blend of 3 essential oils that I put on my feet. I tried it for the first time this evening. And 15 minutes later, I started shaking, was hot, almost passed out, and was short of breath. I made it to the bathroom and washed my feet with soap and water and started to feel better. I've been drinking water like crazy ever since. 



I am tired of trying to please everyone who thinks they can cure me. I have been made to feel like I'm not trying by hubby's co-workers, hubby, and others if I don't try all of this witch doctor crap. 



Im done. No more. It's my body and I'm in control of it. I am so upset right now. I just want support from others. Is that too much to ask?

I understand completely how you feel. I'm praying for you and for that depression to leave. We put to much pressure on ourselves to be this perfect sick person for everybody, well what about them. I'm sick of bending over backwards, when no one does it for me. I hope you feel better.

It is exceptionally hard on loved ones who have to watch us suffer and there is nothing they can do to take it away from us. My partner would carry this burden if she could. I understand how hard it is for your husband and see that defeat in my partners eyes often.

Ida, thank him for being the supportive husband that he is but.... please tell Mr. Fix-it to stick to his real job (construction?) and leave doctoring you to the doctors. It's as simple as that.

Tell him if fibro is hard enough for the experts in the medical field to handle, what makes him / his coworkers, who have no medical expertise, think they can help you even *more*? Also that there is no one size fits all treatment for our illness. Hug him and tell him you and the docs got it from here.

Aww you poor thing. I really like what Twinmom wrote about how we put too much pressure on ourselves to be this perfect sick person for everybody, that's very true. I do the same thing to myself . I hope you feel a little better
