Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

Hi Folks!
You may or may not know me, but my name is Jesse and I work here at DailyStrength. I'm writing to let you know that we're looking to add a Community Leader to the Fibromyalgia Support Group -- so we'd like to know if you want to become one!
In case you're not already familiar with what Community Leaders do, they're vibrant members who volunteer to greet new folks to the group, offer positive and constructive advice in discussion posts, and help steer negative topics back on track (and occasionally close a clearly abusive discussion post, which is very rare in this group). You can learn more by clicking here:
http://www.dailystrength.org/content/view/2071495
If you have any questions or are interested in becoming a volunteer CL, please send me a private message with the subject heading of "CL for Fibromyalgia". DS staff will then review the candidates.
To be considered for the role of a CL, we'd like to ask that you:
1. Be okay with having a profile privacy setting of either "Everybody" or "DS Members". That way new members can greet you back!
2. Have not received prior warnings from DS for violations of the Rules of the Road.
3. Have been an active member of the Fibromyalgia support group for at least six months.
I'll leave this post up for a few days, and I might bump it up every once and a while so it stays on the main page.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. :)

I don't really know how to label this but I having a rough week and I can't say it's one thing.... I have a lot on my plate which is nothing new and I try to cope in many positive ways and do but I still have my moments. My kids more so my daughters talk to me about everything which I know it's cause of comfort and we are close.... however I really struggle with the venting about their dad which...

For whoever asked about the process, there is a short form that requires the name of the person being reported, your name, (both screen names obviously, not real names), your description of the abuse, and a link to where they can find it and review it for themselves.
Then they usually make a decision about whether action is warranted, and if so they will contact the "abuser" and "warn" them that they have been reported for abuse and should be more careful.
That's about all I can tell you because they don't report to the "reporter" what action they take. The only exception to that is a report of someone selling on the board. I have reported many of those, and DS usually bans them within minutes. When they do that, they send me a note that says "thank you for reporting this, the member has been banned."
That's all I think I know - if somebody has questions it might trigger something I don't remember that I know, but I think that's pretty much it.
Peace~ thank you for the info! I'm the one, or one of the ones, wondering how the whole "process" with reporting someone goes- as I've not yet had to do it in my 2 years here (thankfully).
1. your profile setting "everyone" or "DS Members". Not private profile.
2. a warning violation of rules of the road - this one you will know if you get one of these.
3. active member of Fibromyalgia group, posts, threads, welcomes, and helping for six months.
The board had much more upheaval, petty fights and nastiness a few years ago and thanks to all you great members, we are making this one of the best boards to be a part of now. I do credit D... and those that post and support here daily.
Your post #52 mentions:
Everyone, please look at
1. your profile setting "everyone" or "DS Members". Not private profile.
QUESTION: Does this mean all journals and hugs or just that everyone can see your profile page?
2. a warning violation of rules of the road - this one you will know if you get one of these.
QUESTION: The problem is that it is not true that you will know if you get a violation warning. I never got one, yet have been told that I have gotten several abuse warnings. Do you have any advise on getting to the bottom of this issue?
