Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I just had to vent. I really don't have anything insightful or profound to say, except that I am so happy that my notice period of my job is almost done. I can't wait to get out of there. I called off last week and really wished I had done it this week too. There has been some low to middle sexual harassment going on and I just can't handle being around some of the people. My boss is a maniac. Apparently she doesn't even have a principal's credential and I think she covers up for being incompetent by her constant baloney. For "professional development" on Friday, she did an escape room, which she got really frustrated with because she couldn't even begin to figure out how to try to hack to find the passcode to get out of the escape room. Everyone was super frustrated with her because of the obvious stupid questions and her regressing into child behavior.
The next activity was even worse. She and a colleague set up this elaborate murder mystery theatre. My colleague must have spent hours on the food and decorations and we had to wear costumes. We were obligated to participate. I was seated across from the guy who had harassed me and then assigned to work with him as a partner. We switched. The whole thing was an absolute *hitshow. My boss was really histrionic and started talking in all of these voices, dramatically trying to get attention. She was talking in a very flirty and sutry voice, and then remarked to a much younger staff (male) "keep your eyes to yourself." I frequently get the feeling that she really enjoys the attention of flirting with staff and students (at times myself). She turned to me and literally said in front of everyone: "I bet you are thinking right now 'f*ck my life.' So inappropriate. Nothing was covered in regards to testing, instruction, etc. All of the worst side of everyone's personality started to come out, you could see it in the acting parts. People were passive-aggressively going after one another. It was terrible. She was making comments like, "Is so and so pooping in the restroom?"
I know after one of these "professional development" sessions one week where we all were compelled to hug each other, etc, I called HR and said right off the bat that I would not be hugging anyone. I don't think they are going to fire her but they really should. In fact I think the problems go straight to the top. I have three more weeks but it feels like forever.

I can't believe this has gone on this long. So I don't have much hope of getting a tech job, but I saw an educational job that I thought might be really good. It would have been working at a university supporting high school students who are taking college classes. I did a mock interview with a friend and prepared extensively. It was at the university that I graduated from. I was very excited...

I'm so depressed right now it's overwhelming, my mom might not make it, she has been there for me through my depression and anxiety, when no one else was. My siblings don't give any support and jus say I'm crazy. They are ignorant and cold when it comes to mental health. I feel so alone now knowing she won't be there to talk too and try to understand best she could, Always loving without...
